Yay Got the go ahead from the head teacher to go to BETT this year! It's my first time going so just wanted to know how you guys all tend to get there? Is it free entry? and do EduGeek do anything special around this time, It'd be good to meet up with you all!

I have been like 4 times but never visited the Edugeek stand...shameful I know, I will this year though!! Also going to visit the NS-Optimum stand

Just got told that im there on the Friday would be good to meet a few put faces to the names.

We go down on train 6:30ish go straight to excell then leave 2:30-3 ish quick run round london with the kids ( show them big ben then walk to the palace then back to stationO home by 9 ish.

Has thrown me out of the northern cross country race though dont fancy doing a very muddy 12 k race the day after

Train from Shropshire to London Euston. London Underground (Northern Line towards Morden/Kennington via Bank Branch) to Bank. DLR (towards Beckton) to Custom House for Excel changing at Canning Town if needed.

That's good advice for every stand. Either have a very improbable job title so that you won't be bothered... or demote your role to tea-boy/apprentice for the same reason.

 

Of course, some people may have more than one badge so that they can be scanned by stands who they are really interested in

 

Heaven only knows how they come up with the official attendance figures, because multiple badges are quite common!

 

I am hoping to be there throughout and will bring the eduhobnob supply

MCM Vets always see Excel as a bit strange when it is full of business suits instead of cosplayers...

We shall indeed be there. Once more with Smoothwall on stand E250 sandwiched inbetween Microsoft and Google.

Of course, as always, be laying on free pizza at lunchtime as always as well as a plethora of freebies and other niceities that @VeryPC want you to cage fight for - More info on that closer to the time.

So please do pop by and stop for a chat. We don't bite and it's always a shame to see members who post up after their visit that they didn't want to disturb us or felt nervous in meeting us so walked on by. Trust me, we're here to meet you all and can also give you directions if you are lost.

BETT can be very stressful if its your first time (or even 10th!) which is why we're the only stand to have couches for our members use when you need to take a break.
