The FAQs contradict what Cunninghams are saying surprisingly!!!

V3 launched 2 years ago - so nothing new here!

Licensing model hasn't changed. Annual fee has been the same for the last 9 years and hasn't increased in that time.

See... reserve judgement until we know all the facts! To be fair that emails out to customers wasn't really the best thing to do me thinks! May be a bit of a sales ploy?

hmmmmm should we or shouldn't we....... re-enrol 1300 people........... It is not just Cunningham's we need to think of here we have multiple platforms which all use BIOSTORE backend, not just the Biometric dinner system, the backend works fine never had a problem with the Biostore side of things..

From what I understand Tucasi is moving more to the cloud, too, so I do think Jonas are throwing a lot of development resource at their acquisitions.

Got any more info on this?

I've been bugging Tucassi to make their product more cloud capable for years and they have never done a thing.

The management of CRB Cunninghams apologise for the letter recently sent to a small number of our clients, and which subsequently ended up on the edugeek forum.

This letter was prepared and issued without management approval or authorisation.

It is true that this was done in reaction to rumours brought to our attention through our client network, but the response in no way reflects the credence that management places in those rumours, nor our stance on the matter.

Steps have been taken internally to avoid further incidents of this type.

For further information please contact your CRB Cunninghams account manager, go to the newly launched crbcunninghams.co.uk web site, or an FAQ sheet can be found at http://cunninghams.co.uk/downloads/CRB-Cunninghams-FAQ1.pdf

An email was sent at the beginning of the year about "the future".

Just had a call from BioStore.

They are (partially) aware of the Cunninghams situation - they know an email or phone call(s) have been made to schools claiming that BioStore wont support us any more now they've been bought by Jonas, so they are presuming that maybe Cunninghams are planning on launching their own product...

The 'truth', from BioStore's perspective, is that they will continue to support any existing customers for no additional charge - we have paid the fees for BioStore to Cunninghams so should expect service - if Cunninghams don't pass that payment onto BioStore, that's an issue between them, not between us and Cunninghams or us and Biostore.

Don't know if this helps or hinders :)

Good to hear @howartp thanks for sharing that, that is very good of BioStore and very accurate: That is an issue between the two companies not the customer, who has already paid for the service.

I doubt Biostore would leave any school up the creak without a paddle... as a school we have no intentions whatsoever in paying Cunninghams for an upgrade we have been with them a very long time and well doubt we will be with them at the end of next year if this carries on...do they think we can just wave a major wand and all our other Biometric kit will transfer and work without issues and do they really think we are going to re enroll 1100 staff and students !!!!!....

Yep...."Happy Christmas"

Or "Bahh Humbug"

Either way........

I know people are saying this, but my colleague pointed out to us (we're 1700 students) that actually, we get year 7 registered inside 2 hours, one class at a time at say 10 minute intervals - if we repeat this for 7 days the job is done and it isn't actually as bad as it sounds. A lot of the year 7 '2 hours' is taking them to the revals and getting the money on, which obviously we won't have to do.
