I'm a lone tech on a weekly contract of under 30 HPW in the school. KS3/4 Special for unde 100 behaviourally challenged / emotionally disturbed boys. I'm looking for recommendations on the way to go - especially toward training for myself. Our clients are currently Windows 7 Pro and some Macs. speckytecky Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Thanks @Devontechie it's running just about every IT service we have in the school everything apart from MIS and the bits the MiniMac server runs. We have a second DC which is the same sort of tin but running 2008 R2 64 bit and that machine backs up to a removable HD it also serves as a print server for various machines that the first DC isn't picking up.

Definitely go with NEOS, you get unlimited tea/coffee while you learn and you also get (or at least you did a year ago) lunch at the Farriers Arms around the corner included in the cost of your course! 1

Basically you can apply for a part matched grant 50/50 for a course which has a value of up to £1000. So in relation to the "the Neos 10 days offer" this might up only costing the school, £500 You can apply for more than one grant if you are sitting a few courses and multiple technicians from the same organisation can access the grant. It’s all about upskilling the workforce in the latest technologies. As such, it would be valid on, but not limited, to courses such as: W8 WS2012R2 SCCM Exchange 2013 VMware Office 365 (Tech course) SharePoint 2013 You get the idea!!!
