I recently updated the firmware on our system to 9.8.1.0 build 101... AVOID IT. After a power recycle both of my ZD's failed to boot but managed to get them up and running.... now one of them has done the same and it wont come back online even after a power reset. Connecting a serial cable to it comes back with garbage.:(

None of the APs connected to it work now so I am screwed.....really wish I had gone with Meraki

Anychance you can throw it back to an old firmware version? I havent had much experience with ruckus but if you can gain console access can you restore it?

I did but it wasn't working. They are RMAing the unit and I have a temporary license so I can add all the other APs onto the working one. I really need to get a redundant unit.

I know it sounds obvious but did you read the release notes in full and follow the correct process to upgrade as I've seen that before where people go meh fixes a bug and just install and it can bugger things up which isn't the vendors fault if you don't read the guide in full.

Not had any issues here with going to 9.8.1 and done it on quite a few controllers.

Assuming you have support you should get a replacement in 24 hours
