Someone left a window open in one of our ICT suites and there was a torrential storm that literally flooded out three computers and monitors. I got some of the kids to waft hairdryers over them for an hour, left them overnight and they were fine in the morning. OK, it wasn't sticky coffee but chances are it will be ok.

If you want to be really fussy, use demineralised de-ionised water as tapwater will leave deposits that will affect the electronics. Your science technician can probably make you some.
