Danp Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Do you have a local camera shop? That would be my first port of call. If they don't do repairs, they may know someone who does. Not that I'm aware of, but you did remind me of someone I know who runs a printing shop, I know he does not stock cameras, but I've asked.
JATSO Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) Before I start a new topic elsewhere, I thought I'd ask here first. I have a Canon EOS 2000d that will not power on. Tired different batteries, tried a few combinations button pressing and nothing. So, next step is to send it off to be looked at, any recommendations? Thanks Are you a member of your local camera club? There is a group on fbook called Canon Photography UK you could join and ask there if you use fbook you will get a more local recommendation and advice from other canon users and advice of repairers in your area if any, or your local pages its all hit and miss finding someone though. robk Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Managed to take this photo, hand held on the way home Friday night... Lovely Canon R6 and a fantastic 100-500MM lens. Just wish I could afford that level of equipment! 2

HarryMonkey Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 It seems to have been a good year for bluebells. Indeed it has. Here's one from my trip to Somerset at Easter. 1
robk Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Did you have the R6 and lens on loan? Yes @JATSO it was a short term demo. 1
Popular Post JATSO Posted May 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 25, 2022 So I entered one of my images into a Photocrowd competition. The write up is by Verity Milligan. Not a bad result. https://www.photocrowd.com/photo-competitions/new-joiners-landscapes-611-landscape-photo-contest-15145/entries/371474/ 6
HarryMonkey Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 (edited) Just a heads up for a wildlife talk that's taking place online tonight. Roger Hance is a speaker that I've seen a few times now and he is always good and full of top tips. The tickets are only £3.75 so won't break the bank. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/photography-talk-photographing-wildlife-in-your-garden-with-roger-hance-tickets-267824138207? Durham Cathedral is a beautiful building anyway, before you start lighting it like that. 1
Dos_Box Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 Even Morcambe on a damp, gloomy October Thursday dusk can be quite photogenic. 1
enjay Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 Was it really that grey, or is there a blue filter on that? I do find it quite mesmerising when the sea and sky are the same colour.
