Pressed the "Tape/MD monitor" button [nobody knows what it does except cut out all sound...] and there's still an issue. Checked the cables... they've literally been ripped out of the back of the amplifier. So now I need a new cable... Anyone know where I can get a male phono [red+white] to EXPOSED WIRES cable? Exposed end needs 2 per phono. [Red -> 2 wires, White -> 2 wires] Needs to be about... 5m. Can't make my own... No tools.

Pressed the "Tape/MD monitor" button [nobody knows what it does except cut out all sound...] These were / are used to monitor what is being recorded on the tape / MD - it takes the signal going to the recorder and makes it available at the amps output. Not used one since I made mix tapes back in the 80's!
BHMS Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 You should be able to make your own with a pair of scissors, firstly cut off the connectors you don't need then near the exposed end you score around the cable to weaken the plastic and then pull the plastic insulation from the cables (hopefully without the wire). It takes a little practice but no special tools required other than a reasonable amount of patience.

Get yourself onto the CPC website & get yourself a few tools ordered! Your workplace cant possibly expect you to work efficiently if they wont provide any tools.
