RichCowell Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 There is a Dorset LA ICT meeting in June - for both teachers and techs. I could take along info about ANME (pronounced Anime? well it is here ) and pass it along if you would like me to. Any flyers with info or anything? I find just telling people about a website doesn't really engage them, sadly I say it as the initials, A.N.M.E. as it kinda flows nicely, but others call it An Me... I've not heard it as Anime before I've got some flyers done and I'd be happy to send you some - if you PM me I'll send you my details :-)
RichCowell Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 We've created a group here on EduGeek for ANME members - invite only ANME - EduGeek.net
LukeC Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Would it be worth having some flyers at the Edit conference if your allowed?

ticker Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 @RichCowell, its handy having the flyers. My neighbor works in another school as a teacher and came round for a chat about some stuff, first thing i did was give him a flyer asking him to pass it onto the network manager
ticker Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 It will be a good way to network with others; we have a really broad range of people coming from all areas of the educational sector, Primary's, Secondary’s, Academies, and Independent schools Looking forward to seeing what comes out of the meeting. Could be a great way to do some useful and solid networking (no pun intended!) 1
Cablers_JonPaul Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Good luck with your new association. The web site looks great. We work with many network managers and Ive always been surprised how little contact their is between them, even the ones that work in different schools in the same town. I have passed on details to our followers on social media and i shall pass details on to the schools we work with. We will also get it posted on the Google group that was set up for network managers in our area. Edited May 15, 2014 by Cablers_JonPaul spelling 2

SLS_ Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I've also signed up to ANME. The statistics sent out on email were a really good idea. I found them very informative, it's great to get an idea of what's going on in the schools around us. Really looking forward to networking with everyone at the first meet! Simon
RichCowell Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks @SLS_ I found the stats really interesting too, and it's highlighted that we need another 1/2 a technician lol... I'll keep updating them every so often in the EduGeek group...
