What to do with my old 32 bit servers?

Seeing as all new versions of windows server are 64 bit only I am wondering what things/projects I can do with my old servers, I have 5 DL140's with around 1gb ram in each and a 1TB NAS. I also have 33 ASUS EEE BOX atom PC's.

 

So I am lookng at suggestions for projects these could be used for, Open Question I know but I am interested.

We have given some of our old servers to our Music Department. They plan to set up a mini network to store student work away from our main network.

 

I see this as a primer project: Once they have shown that it is workable and that it can be managed properly and has benefits for both Music and the larger network then a more formal permanent arrangement can be set up.

Game servers

FTP/web servers for student websites (to learn how to produce a working site)

Linux hosts for programming, playing with the terminal/SSH etc

Archiving boxes

Heaters

Boat anchors

Donate to primaries that don't have DCs

Actually yes it does, and quite good performance too.. I have a thin client server running on a Dell 2600 server with 3GB ram and twin XEON cpu's runs great!!

 

I'm actually quite surprised!

 

On an ancient 32 bit server?! Yeah, that'll work!
