localzuk Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Mature cheddar on top of chicken sweet and sour (home cooked, not take-away). Mmmm... Egg on pizza. Delicious. Gotta get the cooking time right though else it goes a bit rubbery.
StevieM Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) @StevieM....you have ruined my dinner now because anything I get won't even come close to being as good as the stuff from LPK looks Northerners Edugeek meetup at LPK, anyone? Might have to try this place soon: Pizza Restaurant Shirley Birmingham | Pizzeria | Crust Restaurant | I Love Crust Although I'd be willing to give this one a go too. In fact, I cooked a beef dinner last night in a giant Yorkie Now that IS an odd food combination! + Or even worse... + That brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, 'Your dinner's in the dog!' (Yes, I know I should have Photoshopped a mash-up but I am supposed to be working!) Edited March 20, 2014 by StevieM
CHR1S Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Personal favourite of mine, boiled egg + any curry you like (hotter the better) My local Indian specialises in these dishes, the one I had last had green chillies and pickled onions in - amazing!
featured_spectre Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Egg and Spinach on pizza, if done right the egg yolk is runny and the spinach nicely wilted...topped off with goats cheese, job done!
mac_shinobi Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Egg and Spinach on pizza, if done right the egg yolk is runny and the spinach nicely wilted...topped off with goats cheese, job done! Make that into a calzone so the egg yolk stays inside instead of dripping on the plate
featured_spectre Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 No, just no...get away from me..you freak! 1
itgeek1989 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Sausage roll and Nutella. Its the best! Open up sausage roll n spread Nutella on sausage. Put top back on and microwave for 10 sec. I find the Greggs ones the best with this.
localzuk Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 One thing I've never understood is people who put peas in pasta dishes. What's that all about!?
featured_spectre Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 actually...pork and chocolate go VERY VERY well together. I made my own bacon using pork belly, substituted the brown sugar for cocoa powder...dear god it was delicious!
mac_shinobi Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 One thing I've never understood is people who put peas in pasta dishes. What's that all about!? Now you're just taking the pea :-P ;-)
mac_shinobi Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Tin foil, brown sugar , bananas, some alcohol like whisky or similar and a bbq Place the bananas in tin foil, pour or sprinkle the bananas in brown sugar and cook for a bit to allow the sugar to caramelise and then pour some over this and allow to cook for a bit longer and serve Mmmm
featured_spectre Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Pasta, peashoots (and peas), grated hard goats cheese...job done, its quite a fulfilling dish
unixman_again Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Egg and Spinach on pizza, if done right the egg yolk is runny and the spinach nicely wilted...topped off with goats cheese, job done! This is very close to a Jamie Oliver recipe, except he used short crust pastry rather than pizza base, and yes it is yummy!

Andrew_C Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The kids in my house would sign a pact with Satan himself for a bowl of rice and peas. Nothing else, no sauce, no nothing.
Tesla Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 No, just no...get away from me..you freak! says you lol
Tesla Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The kids in my house would sign a pact with Satan himself for a bowl of rice and peas. Nothing else, no sauce, no nothing. If i had kids and that's what they liked to eat for dinner id be glad! better than a diet of Mcdonalds and Dominos pizza!
featured_spectre Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 My daughter currently has a thing for Jam and Sausage sandwiches...which oddly, work.
StevieM Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Tin foil, brown sugar , bananas, some alcohol like whisky or similar and a bbq Place the bananas in tin foil, pour or sprinkle the bananas in brown sugar and cook for a bit to allow the sugar to caramelise and then pour some over this and allow to cook for a bit longer and serve Mmmm Rum is my spirit of choice for this particular delicacy. Proper Caribbean.
HaleStorm Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Making scrambled eggs with beer(i used hobgoblin) is amazing!
plexer Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The kids in my house would sign a pact with Satan himself for a bowl of rice and peas. Nothing else, no sauce, no nothing. Ah but is it rice and peas or rice and peas? Ben
