That's way better. I'm slightly less on the case but still putting in a mild amount of effort by printing it off!

Even using InDesign, that is dedication.

The truth is I'm actually just too lazy to download Office on this computer and already had this installed.

Funny what you can do with some CSS xD

That's a nice straightforward idea - tempted to just go with that one on our intranet page this year...

Don't forget to disable all these things at 12:00 else you'll be the fool!

Pfft. That's a stupid rule, enforced only by those who aren't sharp enough to have cottoned on by midday.

April Fool's is all day.

so not only have I setup the staff laptops to change its login pic, but also set all student computers background image too...

You know this may be a way to get them to turn their projectors off when not in use :)

Sent the VoiceOver™ picture to one of the ladies in Reprographics.

I'm hoping she things staff will see the funny side and makes use of it. I'll trust her judgement on this one.

The IT team came in this morning and found their wallpaper set like this:

ive seen a few not read it so far.

How big is it? A3 [on nice paper] would possibly get people to read it. Looks important.

I was VERY tempted to knock up a troll NUT/ATL poster about some stunt Gove was now trying to pull... but I decided against it on 2 grounds:

A) I was going to forget to take it down.

and B) It's a bit cruel...

Honourable mention: I know some people here would take it seriously, even after I said it was a joke.

Thinking of setting everyones internet homepage to End of the Internet

Thanks for this - I've put the following gif on the intranet it now has a good link to go to when clicked moving_ant.gif

This is an email I sent a couple of years ago ...

I just sent that to some people who funnily enough were talking about TV Aerials and our bandwidth saturation last night. So they almost might believe it.

The helpdesk (OP Smartdesk) has an announcement when people go to it saying it's down for maintenance and gives the business managers extension. Endless calls :D

Us in admin fell for signing a congrats card for the receptionist who's colleague convinced us she just got engaged.

Some staff have been receiving emails about the new "1984" software we've got for the projectors which allows us to monitor what is being projected for the purpose of a teaching and learning review - at the moment, video will be deleted after 2 days as we're just testing, but the audio will be stored for a week, as performance reviews are coming up. :)

I'm just thinking of announcing Cake O'Clock - which we have a lot, but this time, it'll be only a picture

I'm sure the day will only get better...

That's cold, man...

It's also an actual thing people do, apparently. [Cameras in classes to do observations without notice disruption]

GLaDOS, is that you?

Repro lady approves :D It's stuck on our two big MFD's on A4.

We'll see if anybody falls for it, I'm not 100%, but the MFD's have been out of order a lot recently so maybe they will.

I just got the Office manager with the voice activated photocopier lol!

People need to set up covert webcams so we can all enjoy it. [or just film it and upload people getting caught out.]

You'd be surprised (or not...) But we have a big a3 poster on the wall out photocopier is against explaining how to retrieve files sent to the printer, and people still ask me what to do???
