I know I left the fold and went out to play with some new friends but I'm now back with my tail between my legs

 

Can we setup a Raspberry Pi section?

 

Can I moderate it so I can ban someone myself?

I am currently banned from a local forum for disproving somthing that the owner of the site posted. He was saying some derogative things about school and I corrected him, then he banned me.

On another forum that I'm a member of, it used to be a sport to register at the OCUK forums and see how quickly you could get yourself banned.

That sounds very much like Fylde College bar at Lancaster University in the early 80s. If you hadn't been banned at least once by Ron, the barman, you hadn't been there. There was some very competitive boasting as to exactly how many times some people had been banned... That's properly banned and not thrown out because you had previously been banned; Ron could be relied on to forget he had banned you after a few weeks.

Well I have never been banned from a forum, excluded from school for a week because I managed to "unblock the internet filtering" (I am not going to post details on here). Mind you, I do try to keep calm on here and edit straight away as necessary.

Only time I got banned was on a Nightwinter Nights Persistent World forum, I had played there for a long time but posted that, politely, I was leaving and finding somewhere else to play and thanks for the good times. It summoned a torrent of abuse, a ban and then account deletion. Turns out that the NWN fraternity are a bit precious about their worlds...

ditto i once got into a long argument with someone who in the end gave up saying something allong the lines of well you wont change your mind you narrowminded *@~{ not seeing the irony of him not moving his opinion 1 iota as well ( i was very bored at the time iirc)

I was once banned from a forum while I was on honeymoon and had been away from all means of internet access for a week.

 

I created a forum, for people banned from a particular forum (basically a company who were making some incredible claims, decided to ban everyone who were sceptical of those claims), however eventually they just banned everyone and the forum went dark. The company continue to make incredible claims and somehow survive on money they have taken from investors.
