There is a SLIGHT chance that I may have ordered a MK7 Golf GTI today...

I've been grinning ear to ear since about 1pm, and I can't stop!

Picking it up next Wednesday :D

Good for you, but you will need to add pics

I can't wait to get a new motor, undecided at the moment. You earn it, you deserve to spend it!

Thanks @rad and @FN-GM, I'm properly excited!

Pictures will be duly uploaded, not to worry about that!

Gone for a pre-reg to avoid the excessive new costs.

Would have liked the performance pack, however happy with the model I've got. Especially given the majority of my travel will be South East/Central London.

- Carbon Grey Paint

- 5 door

- Auto DSG

- Heated leather interior (hate the stock tartan)

- Nav Pro media sys

- Sunroof

- Plus some other bits that I've forgotten in the excitement!

Now for the wait...!

I have the sunroof and heated leather. Both great! Do you have that adjustable suspension and reversing screen? Bet it has a flat bottom steering wheel?

I like the stock tweed seats!

@FN-GM - No to the reversing camera; it does have parking sensors, and shows the car on screen and how close etc.

Yes to the adjustable suspension though :) Oh, and a big yes to the flat-bottomed wheel!

They just don't work for me. Plus, so used to heated leather now, I just can't go back!

Thats what i meant :) Mine has that, life saver!

The flat bottom steering wheel is good, im 6ft and that extra little bit of space makes a big difference.

My heated seats take ages to warm up, i believe you will have the new ones. should be quicker!

You should have got the rear camera it is brilliant I wouldn't be without it on my VW makes for amazing parking and showing off to people who are just :o when they watch it appear on the display :)

Enjoy it I miss my MK4 GTI, went for something a bit more practical for Rural Yorkshire... then moved to London so I look like I should live in Chelsea now but with all this flooding I'll maybe need it in the south for that before long :D

Nice choice, had a go in m maes Mk5 R32 the other night, what beast!

My mate had the Mk5 R32 a few years back, absolutely blew me away!

Was looking at purchasing the R this time round, but can't justify the additional cost at the moment...

I've been down the ST route previously with an 02 plate ST-170.

Before picking the GTI I had a drive in a newer ST, and just found the cabin to be a less inviting place to sit.

The new GTI seats are ridiculously comfortable too.

If you have the opportunity to prior to ordering, give the GTI a quick blast, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Somehow I managed to miss this, perhaps because I've not been charged for it... It's got the additional performance pack! Woohoo!

I've just sorted the insurance, and it's registered as including it. Checked with VW and that is the case. I do love free stuff!

Im considering changing my car from my a3 2.0 tdi sline to a 320d m-sport. Ive had the audi not even a year yet and already getting bored so should probably wait a bit longer to save loosing to much money on it!!

We had a look at laguna yesterday and my partner fell in love with it.

(09 plate 2.0dCi Laguna)

Cue the garage trying to sell it me. (my credit score isnt good)

Very tempted by a focus st 2.5 myself as the cheaper alternative

I can totally understand why too, as they're brilliant cars.

The thing swung it for me was the overall feel of the car. There is no comparison to the quality feel behind one of their wheels.

Can't wait, picking it up at 10am tomorrow....!!

Had a little drive by the dealership earlier too, and it's there waiting for me :D
