john Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Me the head, ICT coordinator and the sen teacher are down Friday and Saturday. My birthday Saturday so a few drinkies Friday night me thinks. Anywhere good/cheap to drink within wandering distance of the tower hotel(guoman)? Plenty of stuff in that area your like 5 minute walk into The City and by St Katherines Dock is a nice place for food drink etc....

We havnt decided yet if we're all going down on the same day and having a good time or going down seperatly. The first sounds fun but means the school has to fend for itself for the day. ICT team has remote access for minor things.

I wear a badge with my avatar on it so I am easily identified (although I think I probably don't need it ) but others don't and of course all geeks mumble so I can't identify any of you Except the usual suspects, of course, before you all yell at me... I think everyone should wear a badge with their own avatar on and then I might have a hope of knowing who I am hugging. although then again, a hug is a hug....

john Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 That's if the DLR is running if not it about 12 As a user of aforementioned DLR daily I can confirm that DLR has no pre-planned maintenance for the BETT show this year and DLR Trains are running to 99% reliability in the last period If I2I coughed up some ££ DLR will put extra shuttle trains on to get you from West Ham to Custom House station, staff at key stations en-route to assit the bemused traveller and general information at stations. This does cost the event organiser and they have to talk to Serco about it in advance... hope they did this year as it needed it. I have seen how well it works and it works well with other huge ExCeL events but not seen any posters about that yet
