So I have a dilemma. My lovely Mum is giving me £300 so spend on a Christmas present but I'm really struggling to find anything I want as I have a computer which does all my gaming etc.. and a TV. Help me out and post here what cool gadgets you're getting for Christmas :) Bit of fun.

I asked for these:

George Orwell books - Nineteen Eighty Four, Animal Farm (read both but want my own copies)

Microsoft Sidewinder X4 keyboard (gonna have to rethink that one as they seem to be out of production and there are idiots trying to charge £800 for them on Amazon)

Perixx MX-2000 mouse

Soundmagic E10 earphones

Dremel multi tool (to replace the cheap no-brand one I have finally given up with)

The Last of Us - PS3

Kurushi Final PS1

Rocksmith 2014 with Real Tone Cable (PC version)

Teenage Dirtbags Compilation (CD)

Hipe Waterproof Bluetooth Stereo Shower Speaker

To be fair though I'm not expecting all of that for xmas, I keep a constant list on Google Drive that I add things I really want to, that way when I have a bit of money I can refer back to it and buy something I really want rather than blowing it on some silly impulse purchase (although it must be said, I still do that far too often!)

My mother is a camera enthusiast - so much so she's doing it professionally now! She often travels the length of the country to photograph weddings. Therefore the ideal present, I thought, was a travel mug/thermos shaped like a Canon camera lens (other brands are available, but she uses a Canon). Also I'm getting her an Amazon gift card, as she does a lot of reading and has a Kindle.

I have two housemates. One of them is often the butt of 'forever-alone' type jokes as he's more-than-a-little socially awkward (but he knows it's all in friendly jest). Therefore the only appropriate presents for him are a book titled 'Images you shouldn't masturbate to' and a box rather tastefully labelled 'W*nk Wipes'.

My other housemate I have no clue what to get him. He's an avid anime fan but I don't know what he likes as I'm not really that into it. Also quite the gamer, but already has plenty of gaming merch.

My mother's husband, I'm not so sure what to get either. We get on well, but I just have no clue. He runs his own network consultancy business, so he's a big geek, but doesn't really do gaming and already owns a Raspberry Pi. I have no idea what to get him.

Great choices, both, but my favourite books are Mervyn Peake's 'Gormenghast Trilogy' and David McKee's 'I Hate My Teddy Bear!'

Things I'd like for Christmas this year include a new dressing gown (can't decide whether I should be a Jedi or go over to the Dark Side) and a pair of wookiee slippers (and hope that my dog doesn't eat them!).

'eat' may be the least of your worries..

She's a good girl and doesn't do things like that, I'll have you know. Unlike my friend's dog (also a bitch) that used to regularly mount and hump cushions.

I would recommend the Jedi robes, I got bought some by my parents year before last, real quality robe and v warm, plus it looks pretty pimp :D

Is dog. Humps everything by default. Doesn't matter if she doesn't, she does. Fact of life :D

Meh..... Tablets don't excite me! I have had an iPad, Surface Pro and a android, I'd rather buy a £300 laptop!! :/

I've just sent my son his Christmas presents as he was due home for Christmas but his ship got diverted to the Philippines for obvious reasons. This year he is getting

"How to swear around the world" book. useful I'm sure in his current situation

Poo Trumps - same cards as Top Trumps but with obvious difference.

Magnetic filings draw your own Beaver (don't think it means the rodent type!) :0

And various other daft and throw away things. Just trying to keep him and his shipmates moral up even if it does cost me a fortune in jelly babies :)
