sparkeh Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I only say this so that everyone knows we are not sending out incompletely addressed consignments. My biscuits did not have my name on the label. I just had to wrestle them from the secretaries. There is some serious ill feeling in the office now. But I have biscuits so I don't care
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 deliver them in a daring-do fashion. I'd like to see that... Because
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Im still waiting for sweets from stocktober!! I have a "You owe us £1.41" from the Post Office....VeryPC? I have to apologise about this. As a marketing/silly man, rather than one of our professional shipping guys, I did not realise that the weight limit on the stamps used to send out the Stock2ber thank you sweeties was 100g, and unfortunately each package came to roughly 125g, so some of you may be getting demands from the post office to pay to receive your overweight deliveries. Don't pay it please - there are only a small handful of chewy sweets in each envelope, so it is not worth it. If you get one of these demands from the post office, or your package has not turned up yet, please do let me know though so I can get some more sent to you with the appropriate postage on this time! Sorry again, Al *sheepish* P.S. @hardtailstar @Little-Miss I'll get your replacements sorted for you. 1

VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Approved associate are the words you are looking for. Correct - these are a legacy from our days of selling exclusively through the channel, when you couldn't buy direct from VeryPC. We were recruiting resellers and giving them out with the welcome pack. We still have a few left so we give them out to you guys at sales meetings so you have something to remember us by. Al
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 The USB worked when I got it... In retrospect, those were a poor purchase - they looked cool, but after a bit of use, they would fail to make contact with the USB pins when you slotted them in. We'll be looking for something a bit more robust next time we stock up on branded goodies. Al
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 On an unrelated note, has this forum stopped automatically refreshing or is it just me? I noticed that - is it just this forum? Al
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Another comp so soon? I've only just caught up from Stocktobers back log of work... Oh go on then! Am I too late for entry? No you're not - I've added you. Welcome back, and good luck! Al 1
CyBeRkId2002 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 How have I only just found out about this???? Can you please count me as in! Also, while I am at it has anyone noticed the striking similarity between Firefly/Avengers/X-Men Comics legend Joss Whedon and the technical director Simon Bown??? Proof below... 2

But I have biscuits so I don't care Just checked with shipping for a copy of your delivery label - your name is displayed as the "Contact: Namey Nameson" just after the delivery address, but it seems to not be the easiest thing to spot, judging by your stories! Sorry you're having to tussle with the admin dept for your prizes, but I'd back you lot in a fight. Al

StevieM Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I'd like to see that... Because I used the words intentionally, my good man. Glad to see you picked up on my reference.
witch Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Mystery solved Scooby. You mean it was the caretaker dressed up as a fake ghost who tried to steal your biscuits? 2

StevieM Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 You mean it was the caretaker dressed up as a fake ghost who tried to steal your biscuits? Sure was! And he would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling secretaries!

Gotcha! Good luck with the comp. Yeah, the Simon/Joss thing came up on another thread - Stock2ber I think... Oh yeah, here is is: You know what, I just went on the website to get the address (Colin seemed to think Liverpool to Lincolnshire was "not too far" so I was going to Google Maps it to show Just How Far) and I just noticed that Joss Whedon works for them as well. Joss Whedon: Simon: (I concede that there may be a clue that I swapped the names round on my captions for the purposes of Humour, if you look closely enough) also... This is brilliant though - it's going on the tree and you have already earned yourself a bonus entry! Cheers, Al 1
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Ahhhh there is a wacking great TNT sticker over your label, the TNT one does not have my name. Mystery solved Scooby. Now that is interesting to read. We'll be having words with them about this... Al
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 We'll be having words with them about this... Of the 4 letter variety?
Little-Miss Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) The kicker is, i think you're under on the 41p, the £1 is a handling charge! Edited December 6, 2013 by Little-Miss
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) The kicker is, i think you're under on the 41p, the £1 is a handling charge! I know - The words "insult to injury" spring to mind. Never mind - leave it in limbo and I'll send you some more. Al Edited December 6, 2013 by VeryPC
mac_shinobi Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Wonder if myself @X-13 and others who won Stocktober are being excluded from winning in this competition due to winning in the last one ?
