VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 I was going to say there's not much point in hiding it as there aren't that many schools with a green roof in Sheffield. oops - you want me to delete the post? Al
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I was going to say there's not much point in hiding it as there aren't that many schools with a green roof in Sheffield. Bonus entry for @X-13 for guessing right? At least Al got to be all vague and mysterious [like a spy!] for all of 2 minutes.
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Ha, Yes I do indeed know which one you mean. Nope not arrived then, I've just been and asked. Post always seems to take longer the shorter distance it has to go. Either that or the Carrier pigeon has decided to have a rest on our lovely Green Roof which is very nice at the moment (webcams coming soon) and has just left my calendar up there. You should have got it on Tuesday earlier this week - if it doesn't turn up today, let me know please and I'll get a replacement to you. Al
HaleStorm Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 @bladedanny your not all that far from me then. Up here on Shiregreen Lane (5-6 miles ish)
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 oops - you want me to delete the post? Al Nah, it's no secret where I work. If someone wanted to they'd have been able to work out where I work from past posts.
sparkeh Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 You should have got it on Tuesday earlier this week - if it doesn't turn up today, let me know please and I'll get a replacement to you. Al The TNT guys haven't finished opening the windows yet.
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 You should have got it on Tuesday earlier this week - if it doesn't turn up today, let me know please and I'll get a replacement to you. Al I don't know why you sent it... IIRC, @bladedanny is just down the road from you guys. You could have taken a wander down their and dropped it off.
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The TNT guys haven't finished opening the windows yet. Certainly looked like someone had used TNT to take the window out at Sheffield Centertainment subway yesterday. Apparently though it was the wind.
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 @bladedanny your not all that far from me then. Up here on Shiregreen Lane (5-6 miles ish) No not too far. You at the Primary and Secondary through school?
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 I don't know why you sent it... IIRC, @bladedanny is just down the road from you guys. You could have taken a wander down their and dropped it off. Actually, we have lots of local customers. Too many to service every delivery - we tend to concentrate on the building of PCs in here. Sometimes we do local deliveries, but it depends on staff availability. Al
StevieM Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I don't know why you sent it... IIRC, @bladedanny is just down the road from you guys. You could have taken a wander down their and dropped it off. Because these guys have more important things to do like making videos and posting them on forums. BRING ME THE...ADVENT CALENDAR!!!
HaleStorm Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 No not too far. You at the Primary and Secondary through school? Im based at secondary, but we are in managed service so we support both. Team of 3 and 2 of the guys take it in turns doing a week at primary.
sparkeh Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Actually, we have lots of local customers. Too many to service every delivery - we tend to concentrate on the building of PCs in here. bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 ... but it depends on staff availability. And the customer's awesomeness?????
sonofsanta Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Large chocolatey ball arrived safely in the post this morning. I shall lick it furiously today! Thankye Is it salty? 1
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Is it salty? That's the exact joke I resisted making.
sonofsanta Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 That's the exact joke I resisted making. *shrug* I am weak.
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Mystery solved everyone. @VeryPC or the mail person is not to blame for my lack of advent calendar. It did indeed arrive Tuesday and was promptly eaten by Y1.
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It did indeed arrive Tuesday and was promptly eaten by Y1. What? Opening someone else's mail is illegal. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 What? Opening someone else's mail is illegal. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! It apparently just had the school name on it so they opened it to see who's it might be. Obviously with it been a Peppa Pig calendar my name was probably (hopefully) the last one that came to mind. They didn't know what to do with it so they passed it to the Y1 teacher. It's ok though. We've made an agreement that I get all the strawberry and orange cremes from any roses or quality streets they get.
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 We've made an agreement that I get all the strawberry and orange cremes from any roses or quality streets they get. Seems fair. Though I would have had a go at whoever just gave it out. If you didn't order it, DON'T TAKE IT.
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Seems fair. Though I would have had a go at whoever just gave it out. If you didn't order it, DON'T TAKE IT. Nah, I don't blame them. We get a lot of freebies like this from various places at xmas time. I guess they though it was something like that. Plus I'd look silly losing my head over a peppa pig advent calendar. 1
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 And the customer's awesomeness????? Of course - that's why we have previously delivered your stuff in person!

We just checked a copy of the label; it did have you on as the contact actually but I guess they missed that. I only say this so that everyone knows we are not sending out incompletely addressed consignments. The fact that it went to the kids makes me feel a lot better about the whole situation though. Al
HaleStorm Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Haha @bladedanny got Choc-Blocked by a Y1 class 3
