TechMonkey Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I'm talking more about the "you've angered the Advent Gods, you're going to have a bad time" Member at staff at a previous gig would make students bow and ask forgiveness from the great cow God he had built in one corner of his room. Kids found it hilarious, a few parents did not.

VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Its about time you made Colin the official co-host. Also, could be wrong but we have never seen Mr French in a video? You're a proper McCarthy fanboy! With good reason I might add. We like to give others a chance to be in the vids too and we also like to show lots of faces from the company as well, but he is a good partner in video crime I agree. Re: Frenchy - he is based in the Liverpool office, so only comes to HQ occasionally - I'll try and book him in for a future vid (might not be MADvent though). Also - Processing your video... Al
VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 It's done! Some say that we hired a voice over artist to introduce our video today, all we know is, it's the MADvent prize draw: http://youtu.be/qQwaAcrJBRo REMEMBER, entries are still being taken. If you're in the UK and work in IT support, PM me your professional details to be included, OR, if you have entered a VeryPC competition before, all you need to do is post in the thread that you'd like to join in and we'll look up your details from before and add you. Either way is good. Good luck for tomorrow everyone! Al 2

You should invite him down. He brings fistfuls of sweets when he does On a related note: thanks for the sweets that came with @VeryPC_Colin_F the other day!

And you are relatedly welcome. Al
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 RE: @sparkeh's name... I've always said it Canadian-style. "Spark, eh?"
VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Use on for each day Al ;-) Thanks to the awesome Morgan Freeman, Jeremy Clarkson, @nephilim for the introduction in today's video. You may hear his voiceover talents again as i have a few recordings stockpiled. One bonus entry earned. Al 1
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Awesome! And drawn by Colin's own fair hand (ok I'm going to stop talking about Colin, I'm starting to sound a little bit weird...) What an apt prize: Marks and Spencer -> Marks and Sparks, my name is Mark, my nickname is sparks (kind of) and I love biscuits! Thanks guys! Oh and I've just been handed an envelope from VeryPC containing veggie sweets! Could this day get any better? RE: @sparkeh's name... I've always said it Canadian-style. "Spark, eh?" Correct. However... you will win no prizes. Incorrect.
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Incorrect. I was tempting fate to prove me wrong on your behalf. I tricked the universe into making you win.
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I was tempting fate to prove me wrong on your behalf. I tricked the universe into making you win. I have a sense of deja vu coming on. I will win biscuits and you will win an Xbone or something...

Marks and Sparks, then pulled out our Sparkeh! 1
StevieM Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) I've got to teach a Year 6 to use 2D Primary tomorrow so I thought I'd better practise using it first. Legitimate use of school time, producing a beautiful decoration for the VeryPC Christmas tree AND earning myself a bonus entry into MADvent all in one fell swoop. I am the king of time management. By the way, I not actually tried to assemble it but I think it's right. Fold along all of the lines and cut out the hatched parallelograms. You could also do with two little pieces of thin ribbon to tie around the ends but I can't find the button to attach them. Edit: Sorry to @VeryPC_Tom_D and @VeryPC_Wayne but I only had space for 12 pics. Edited December 5, 2013 by StevieM 1

VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Edit: Sorry to @VeryPC_Tom_D and @VeryPC_Wayne but I only had space for 12 pics. I'm sure they'll forgive you. There are other members of the team who have not yet made it to the online gallery too, so you don't need to feel too bad, it isn't just those two that won't get pulled this Christmas. Al

bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 All this talk of chocolate and I don't have my calendar yet. Which school was it sent to? 1
VeryPC Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 All this talk of chocolate and I don't have my calendar yet. Which school was it sent to? The one with the garden on the roof. You know which one I mean? *attempts to look mysterious and vague* Al
X-13 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The one with the garden on the roof. You know which one I mean? Sharrow? 1
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The one with the garden on the roof. You know which one I mean? *attempts to look mysterious and vague* Al Ha, Yes I do indeed know which one you mean. Nope not arrived then, I've just been and asked. Post always seems to take longer the shorter distance it has to go. Either that or the Carrier pigeon has decided to have a rest on our lovely Green Roof which is very nice at the moment (webcams coming soon) and has just left my calendar up there.
bladedanny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Sharrow? I was going to say there's not much point in hiding it as there aren't that many schools with a green roof in Sheffield. Bonus entry for @X-13 for guessing right?
