Coming up with a company name - Any suggestions?

Hi

 

I often do little repair jobs or website jobs for staff at our school outside of my job role (and outside of school hours). I wanted to come up with a company name but struggling for one. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

 

I want it to reflect making IT simple and easy for them. I basically do any IT jobs fixing, designing websites or stationary etc.

 

Anyone any ideas? I have tried googling synonyms and came up with UbiquITy or Lucid IT. What do you think to them or any better ideas?

Bear in mind that if you make this too formal you will have to think about public liability insurance and such like and you will possibly get noticed by HRMC. Lucid has already been used Lucid Technologies :: Home although they probably aren't as protective of their TM as Ronald McDonald.

i do this already the name i go by is "bushby will fix it" only because that's the name people know me by and i will fix stuff for them or remove things (gutted a deer the other week) and for payment i take creates of beer that way its all favors which i can call upon when it involves a night out

Sometimes it does not sound very good depending it what your name is obviously.

 

I always have thought about something like this but wondered if the main employer would have a problem with it.

When I made my own little computer repair company between a friend and I, we were young and decided to name it "PC 3VOLUTION" but since then regret it because our customer base is 80% elderly people who don't understand why there is a 3. So for short we call it "PC EVO." Now that we're expanding into graphic design, website design and video game server hosting. We're thinking about changing the name to something more generic. but if I've learned something. Keep it simple such as " Solutions" or " Computer Technologies"

Where I live, if you call yourself "Black Country something-or-other" you will be almost guaranteed business; the locals reckon they know you.

Usually the smaller the population in the area you live the better off you are with a name like that. Bigger place for example "Liver Pool Computers" is a horrible name, 1. Liver should never be in a business name unless it's a butcher and 2 it's not really local when the population is a half a million people. A good example of this would be "Clovelly Computer Solutions".
