STOCKTOBER2! A month of prizes and sweeties from VeryPC

Alas! I take a day off work and miss the beginning of the crap jokes. I've been beaten to the punch on most of my favourites!

Alright, alright, how about:

What's grey and can't swim?

A filing cabinet.

A ship full of tortoises crashes into a ship full of terrapins. It was a turtle disaster.

A man handed me a wheel of cheese and asked if I could disguise his horse, I said "I don't think so, but I could probably marscapone."

(thanks to Tim Vine for the last two there)

Bonus locked, and you are maxed!

Morning gang.

Right. Need to put a time limit on this Jokeathon for @VeryPC_Colin_M

We'll continue accepting silly jokes until 12pm noon tomorrow (Friday 17th October 2013). Then we give Colin until Monday morning to review the entries and pick his final favourite. I'll announce the winner of the Stocktober BRING ME THE BOX! T-shirt on Monday morning.

Everyone got that? Good. Keep em coming. Remember, everyone who submits a joke or some jokes will earn themselves a bonus entry into STOCKTOBER2! unless they are already on the maximum number of entries which is 3 total (including your original "non-bonus" entry).

Good luck everyone!

Not a joke, but has Colin seen this? Or anyone at VeryPC for that matter?
. I guarantee it'll make him laugh. I hope.

As a side, is somebody picking up Colin's emails, or shall I mail somebody else about something else? Yes.. that made sense. Right?

Hi @Edu-IT

Colin's emails are being monitored yes. Feel free to continue emailing him and another member of the sales team will respond, or alternatively you can use [email protected]

Thanks,

Al

"...and the elephant goes toot"

Just checking it out now. I won't spoil what the fox itself says because it is definitely worth finding out for yourself.

Class. Strange, but class.

Thanks for that.

You could try and recreate the noise of the Fox in the next video?

Would it be ok to swap the trackball for a T-Shirt of the XL variety?

@VeryPC I know you've said 'dibs count for nothing', but I did say way back in post #368 that I wanted one of those. If I don't win, perhaps, maybe you could possibly see your way to... No? Oh well, worth a try.

Stocktobians will get advance notice of when the freebies are about to be posted, so keep your reading glasses locked to this thread and I'll tell you when you need to have your ninja sniping scope prepped and ready.

We'll post the first big batch as a single thread soon (when we know just who wants to swap for the T-shirt) and wait for claimants. One claim per user, so no "I'll have all of them" or "Numbers 1 through 7 please". We would like the unwanted prizes to be shared out a bit so once someone has claimed one that will be it for them.

I'll clarify in the new thread when I post so everyone knows how it's going to work.

Cheers,

Al

OOP - video has finished processing on YouTube - winner draw coming up!

Hey folks1

Here is today's winner draw video for STOCKTOBER2! and we peform a very important technology experiment too:

http://youtu.be/7yf231i42oM

Congratulations winner. Let us know which number you'd like and we'll reveal your prize later.

Remember entries are still open, so if you get in now you'll be in the draw from tomorrow onwards until your name is drawn (but will be put back before the star prize PS4 draw). To enter just PM me your professional contact details if you are a UK based IT manager/tech type, OR if you've entered a VeryPC competition on EduGeek before, you can just speak up in the thread that you want back in and we'll add you.

Thanks everyone!

Al
