dave.81 Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Currently it's our college intranet page... i might post a pic but then again being only the 2nd day back i probably wont.
enjay Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Staff get an Intranet-esque page of links to various sites of interest - email, DFES, "site of the week" and various key folders within the shared areas. Students get Google.co.uk I hate homepages, so don't have one. The handful of pages I want as standard open up as Firefox loads, the other main ones are all available on the bookmarks toolbar and I use the Google search on the FF toolbar.
sidewinder Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Sorry I just didn’t understand why you put "google.co.uk. Not google.com". When you go on google.com in the UK it takes you right to google.co.uk. Only if you have a Google account, and your locale is set to UK, and you are logged in to Google in that browser. I dont have a Google account and I always get taken to .co.uk on both IE and Firefox, at work and at home

oldav Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Firefox, 3 "tabbed" Home pages, Slashdot, The Register, and my Gliding Club! I always use Google.com when using Google, and am sent to google.com.au auotmatically, search result have a "pages from Australia only" option. Ooooh, time for lunch. CU Dave
