my nick has been the same since I started using the Internet 12+ years ago, I use it because of two reasons, firstly (obviously) because Lots of premonitions happen to me on a very regular basis, and secondly because its the name of a song from my favorite group, Ace Of Base.

I remember I got that software installed on my first computer (1996) but could never do anything, just remember it had some predefined objects,, so like 3Ds Max wchich I used for a while.

I was just about to go mad because this morning I have some exams booked, and when I logged in to unlock the exams,,,,, it brought an error .... cannot connet to promissor,,, fortunately I had downloaded the tests two days ago,,,, anyway after some more calls from the staff complaining that they did not have Internet, then I realized why I could not connect with the promissor server........

but in this case, deleting the uninstall folder for SP will be ok, you are removing files that no other person apart from you , would use. Other folders that you could delete, if any, are those hidden in the windows folder and start with $NTUninstallKB.....

like stated , maybe you are using a customized XP Installation CD so you are not getting the recovery console, you should try an original XP Installation, just make sure what version of XP you had in that machine, because if it is the original OEM version you would not be able to repair from a Volume License Copy and viceversa

after the administrator server downloads the client, you need to run the update manually, it will not launch after you download the client, the update will be located in the "updates" folder within your ESM shared folder. this avatar is new ->

I did that, result?? every single box is ticked, so I got all the permissions, yet still cannot open files, any file.

ok, recent situation, when trying to access a remote machine's files I got it, list the files, but when trying to open it, I get "access denied" this behavior is recent, and cannot figure it out neither my manager, I can access server drives with no problem, it is only the workstations, I am part of the domain admins groups, the domain admins group is also part of the local administrators within the workstations, I am not sure if it could be a group policy setting preventing full access to files, even using the admin account, but when I log in to a workstation using my same domain account I got all rights as normal. I am really confused, any help would be apreciated, the NM suggested it could be something with simsperms.bat, but as I said, this problem is recent. and we were using simsperms.bat even before.

what do you mean by saying "gibberish" I dont understand it and the meaning in wikip is not clear to me, would you try and scan a page to see the resulting print out is, before all have you tried to print a test page from the printer, using the printer control panel?? that would be a start, then if the printer is networked have you tried to print from another station?

and for you to know, it its not possible to create USB ports, also cannot delete USB ports, all this is done by windows automatically, the USB ports are created by the drivers hence you saw that dell 810 port, what I have done in the past, is to go to device manager and delete whatever you think is related ti the printer, like "usb printing support" etc.. then you need to restart a number ot times your machine so Windows will clear the virtual ports not in use , during all this process, please, please do not have the printer plugged in,,, so then you can try First!!!! starting with the software drivers installation and then Until they ask you to plug the printer, do so, this problems is not just to the Dell (Lexmark) printers, also with all this all in one HP ones!

well,, lets just make something clear, the fan actually helps to cool the Processor it does not blow any air flow to the hard drives, and also something else for sure is not that easy to open de cover from the laptop and then reach the fan to clean, I did it with mine, but just I cleaned some of it because the fan was embedded in some kind of case that is attached to some pipes and the heatsink so not so easy after all.

well in my laptop, an old??? pentium 4 2.8Ghz, with vista on, the hard drive is between 35 and 50 degrees Celsius, processor goes all up to 70 gedrees so I think you are safe with your temperatures, I use speedfan control because my laptop is too noisy so I disabled intel speed fan control and use speedfan instead.

it must be just one in a liftime "bug" it happens ramdomly so the best would be to forget about it and create a new document, you said you can access it from 2003 no problem, well try to copy the content, and paste it to another new 2003 document, save it, then try to open the new 2003 document with word 2007. it might just open it with no problem, so you have the chance to report it to Microsoft and one day this bug will be fixed.

its not about the machines specs,, here they are comparing the acrobat versions, and yes, versions 8 and 9 are really slow compared with Version 6, we use most of the time version 6 for staff machines, because whatever PDF is out there right now, it will open with early versions as far back as version 4, so when you open a pdf to read it, you only want to open it inmediatly for reading so you dont need extra bloated features that most will not use.

and nope,,, Windows XP Retail will not accept an OEM key, it is like trying to use a Volume License XP Installation Disk and trying entering a Retail XP Key. it will not work!,,,, I had this question in my Microsoft exam 70-271 .

if you want to check partitions, why dont you download the utility tools from the hard drive manufacturers?
