Bit of a follow on thread from this one but will explain what I am after.

School has Biostore for Cunninghams cashless catering and some vending machines. They also have a separate Net2 system for doors using MiFare cards, we have just installed PaperCut with these terminals attached to the MFD's, the bit under the finger print reader is also a MiFare reader and reads the Net2 cards.

What I want to do is some how automate getting the token (MiFare card) number from Paxton Net2 into Biostore, is this possible without having to copy and paste it manually?

Also with Paxton only been 8 digits it would seem most read as 10, has anyone successfully done it, when I met with a Biostore rep sometime ago he said in theory it should be but how is another question.

Your help would be greatly appreciated and would be worth a few EduBeers :)

Hi Matt,

I would be surprised if there was not a script to automate the export from net to and import into biostore.

As for paxton only reading 8 digits perhaps, that would depend on the reader i expect. Is it outputting in hex or decimal? what reader are you using?

We use Mifare with pCounter our Mifare number is 10 digits long, but I think I remember having issues with the readers in the MFDs and the reader/writer in my card printer in that dependent on settings I got 2 different numbers. I will see if I can find the setting I had to change which may, or may not, help you.

Easytrace - Mifare - Pcounter - NET2 - Traka.

8 Digit miffare string on all of them

Easytrace updates NET2, Traka,

Users self assign card on Pcounter.

Try giving Paxton A call, they are usualy helpful.

Did anyone get any where with this?

We are having our door entry system fitted in a few weeks and I really don't want to rescan students biometrics again in a separate system!

There is a formula to convert 10 digit mifare to 8 digit paxton card nos.

Not got it to hand, but it's on the paxton forums.
