Which speakers do you use for classrooms?

Most classrooms have a projector, so speakers need to be enough to hear films etc for the whole class.

We use these as well in any classroom (bar the Drama studio) - plenty of oomph and volume, more than enough for any room, and easy to connect as they're active.

We used to buy 2.1 wall mountable systems but until they stopped making them, i now stick these in Classroom Amp and Speakers | Vision TC2-AMP2 | SP-1300W Speakers | 1703069. No trouble what so ever.

Simple Ceiling Speakers were what I fitted where we had suspended ceilings they worked brilliantly well coupled with a Avid in-wall amp

We have some older versions of these as well. They provide plenty of sound even in some of the biggest rooms, we also have them in the music room as they give really clear sound.

We use these small ones in all rooms they're loud and clear! so you can hear what people are saying even on a 12 year old mono vhs that's been dvd converted before being converted again to mp4...

 

A nice move is to plumb these into your projector so the projectors remote can alter the volume.

 

they only come with a 2 meter figure 8 power cable so you may need longer. speaker cable supplied is at least 5 meters. They are active (so no separate amp) and have they're own wall mounts (very useful)

Hi Novalee.

 

For budget and performance we normally install Vision Active speakers as they have a good sound and come with a remote - Nuvo speakers are good also but a lot higher in price.

Probably not an option but we use speakers which are built into our interactive whiteboards, specifically Promethean 780s. They work well, the teachers seem to like them.
