well yes but some sort of universal translator is unavoidable be it the tardis/babelfish though i sometimes thing the actors should just talk gibberish (for the mouth movements) and redub it in english as that would make more "sense"

That's the hypothesis sorted, now for the evidence supporting it...

 

 

Also, "screwdriver" doesn't really do it justice. It's a multi-tool with a psychic interface. [i'm going to say it access' nerves in the hand and parses brain activity to understand the intended outcome.]

Universal Translators not a cop out, its a plot device so that we don't have to put up with sub titles and actors pretending to speak klingon or high elvish.

JNT in classic who got rid because it became the device that sorted out all of the Doctors problems rather than the Doctor himself. Whats it limitless energy source? Mine went through A3 batteries like mad :rolleyes:

so are the sonic screwdriver and psycic paper its a quick way of doing something that dosent rate screen time (or where screentime could be better used) as we dont need to see for instance breaking down 20 doors when the sonic screwdrivers can open them all in 10 seconds. Ditto ppsycic paper id imagine he could "blag" his way in most of the time but its not that interesting to watch so psycic paper means you can just cut that bit out

2) Metal doodahs make what you need

3) ???

4) Charge SSD from TARDIS console [with high capacity battery pack]

 

 

Also, future tech battery life can't be judged by current tech standards.

as its also not used for long periods of time and no mention i can see of its power requirements wh couldnt it kinetticly charge like some watches?

1 - Hurt is actually the "original" Gallifreyan who's actions were so heinous that in his first regeneration (into Hartnell) the character had a crisis of conscience and became The Doctor (no need to bump regeneration numbers around).

 

I hope its this!
