We are now fully W7, we have 64 bit on all desktops and only use the 32 bit version on our netbooks as they only have 1GB of ram everything else has 4GB plus, we have a gigabit backbone so the system is running very well at the moment

Thanks for the unreal reference, I used to be quite good at that back in the day UT2004 was my game, however I was hoping to spark a debate about 32bit v 64bit windows 7 but we can stick with unreal, I prefer team deathmatch and capture the flag, my fav weapon is the minigun, the other game I used to be good at was Tom Clancy Rainbow 6 (Raven shield) I got all three packs for that game I remember at a Lan party we played it for 14 hours straight. Have a happy day all

There's no debate these days, putting 32bit on anything unless you have to is utterly pointless :)

Quake 2 was far better though! No version of Unreal ever felt like you were actually walking/running across a surface, just sort of "gliding". Never felt quite right!

64bit = More address space

32bit = Legacy Apps

FPS = Motion sickness inducing vomit

Gaming = PS3, FTW!

Let the flame wars begin... ;)

I loved the music from quake 2 although like a lot of older games now the graphics look rubbish now which is why im not sure about playing goldeneye or zelda on the N64 now

The RAM maximum of 4Gb for 32 bit means we work with 64 bit here so that if we ever want to expand systems there will be no crying into teacups!

Plus it means we can remove some of the legacy software that creates similair tears for all technicians everywhere im sure.

At this point why bother with 7 if you aren't already there, 9 is out shortly and you'll just be two versions behind again so my answer is 64bit W9
