What I mean by a strong logo is that the current one does not stand out when transferred to paper or onto light coloured t-shirts (mind you, if anyone here wears anything other than black t-shirts I would be surprised!)*

*Looks down to find I'm actually wearing light grey today.

Aha, this is where our paths take different directions Dos_Box. I wear a suit to work, and don't fit the stereotype I'm afraid. This is probably why the T-Shirt idea is non starter for me.

:D

I could be tempted by a small, but noticable tie-pin with a suitable logo, so we could almost be like the Masons.

I usually wear white or light shades of green or blue tshirts out of term time. Otherwise it's it's shirt & tie..... aha! EduGeek ties!!! 8)

That is a very good idea!

No I think that bit is right - professional, plural = professionals, ownership or a plural = professionals'

Professional's would be short for "professional is"

Or possibly not. The apostrophe could signify a missing letter (so "professional is" could be right) but could also just be the singular possessive (ie "The life line of an IT Professional")

If in doubt, I always re-cast the sentence:

Edugeek - the life line for educational IT professionals

or

Edugeek - the life line for IT professionals in education

I do understand that you would like a stronger logo, but a version of the current one would be very good.

I think that the fact that the new one has been described as 'gangsta' gives you a very good indication of how it looks - if this is what you are looking for then that is fine - it's your site!

And no, srochford, it couldn't be the singular possesive unless there is only one IT professional in the world and the site belongs to him (or her) ('the', not 'an')

A tie would be great and more wearable than a t shirt for some.

Of course, a nice scarf would be nice?

How about a belt?

What the hell is 'gangsta' supposed to mean ?

The only definitions I can find are:

An aggressive type of rap music focused on gang culture and violence.

A member of a youth gang.

Ho Hum.....

In all honesty, who is going wear a T-Shirt with Edugeek on it?

Me. Why are you so against wearing EduGeek clothing?

Me too. The slogans would be useful for when working on freelance projects such as what I shall be doing tonight. Lol. I would certainly purchase one or two of them.

As for advertising edugeek (even on my body i.e. t-shirt), I have no problem with doing that. I am a member of edugeek and it's not like I am ashamed to admit it. Plus I have learnt so much from the site in so many ways, it can only be good if I can give something back in the form of free advertising.

Looks less 'gamer' so is better for that. I really don't like the drops of whatever they are - i think it would look far more professional without them.

No indication of what it is though - bring back the connector!

NB: Not allowed to wear logo t shirts at work so would look forward to the belt/badge/scarf/tie etc!

Actually, it is one i dropped early on. The droplets are drool\ichor. Anyway, ot very friendly. We've a way to go with it yet. I think the teeth should be dropped, but the eyes do convey the message that we are watching them :)

I'm a bit picky about typefaces and alignment. The only issue I have is that the text is slightly out of center with the ovals, the letters aren't uniform size and they aren't quite vertcial. Apart from that :p

Oh, the missing capital E.

Everyones a critic :D

oooh what a good idea Ties, Belts and Scarf's, perfect for tying Jake up with when he escapes and tries to attack you hey Witch. If it was a leather belt you could whip him with it to get him back in his place 8O
