Just noticed the icon for the edugeek site web page (the one that appears on my tabbed page)...what is it, looks like some kind of bird or an axe?

It looks like a dragonfly as we use Dragonfly CMS don't we on the site? (or is it my Vista DreamScene water confusing me)?

Sounds like a cookies issue to me. Have you tried clearing your history and your cookies?

 

I find that Firefox will often hang on to information for a long time. I get it when I am trying to read a new comment on YouTube, it will often insist on showing me an outdated version of the page.

When I load up into IE7 or Opera, I get the "EG" Logo.

It will eventually change. Just hang in there.

 

In the mean time, I've attached a copy of the image. All you have to do is print it out and blu-tak it to your tabs and address bar to get the full EduGeek experience.

I just find it funny that something like a favicon image problem can create a 2-page topic. I didn't even notice there WAS one in the first place... hehe

Cookies are text files to remember who you are, not favicon caches

If you're connecting from behind a webcache that might have some effect on whether the favicon is updated maybe?

In firefox, if you type about:cache it will show you a list of all the files it has on the memory and disk. Look at those as search for http://www.edugeek.net/favicon.ico - you can then see when it will next look for a later version.
