Hotline Miami doesn't seem to appear for PS4 yet. I assume it'll be free on release as a cross-buy purchase for downloaders of the PS3 or Vita version in this months PS+?

I don't think a release date has actually been announced, but I would have thought we'd just be able to download once it does launch as long as we already have it.

The Last of Us: Remastered coming to PS4 in the summer.

 

1080p and aiming for 60FPS.

Improved lighting.

Better character models and textures.

Left Behind DLC.

Both multiplayer DLCs.

 

Totally gonna double dip.

 

 

Over to you R* to announce NG/PC GTAV now.

What a total waste of development time! Surely the man hours would have been better spent on a sequel or new IP for the PS4? Here's hoping Rockstar DON'T follow with GTA:V. Give us Red Dead 2 instead, please!

 

That said, if they are cross buy titles then I might selfishly change my tune ;)

A full team on an AAA game doing a new IP will be over 100 people and at least 3 years. A new IP won't be announced until it has been 18 months in production. This will only take a year and it won't be a full team.

 

Theres also LOADS of people coming from the 360 and people who sold their PS3s who won't have played it.

 

Totally makes sense from a business point of view and this will be used by ND to get their PS4 tools and engine up to speed on PS4... If they did a new IP, TLoU2 or Uncharted 4 (in full production) they need the PS4 tools and engine. This is a handy byproduct that wyill also sell loads.

 

Also The Last of Us WAS a new IP, only 9 months ago. Universally acclaimed and one of the highest rated games of 2013. The highest rated exclusive (and new IP) on metacritic in 2013, second in total to GTA. The single player DLC was only released in Feb, one of the highest rated DLCs. The final multiplayer DLC isn't out yet! You might be asking a bit much!

 

 

You've already had Red Dead 2! (Red Dead Revolver was on PS2) :)

Ordinarily I'd slate a company for re-releasing a PS3 game on PS4 but I REALLY loved the multiplayer and would probably buy it again just to play that in 1080p with the improved graphics and the additional DLC!

 

I'd feel like a mug for buying it again but I'd still do it :D

* Copy video clips to USB (FAT32 and exFAT supported)

* Ability to select the length of video clips to be saved (1,3,5,10 or 15 mins)

* Capture gallery app added to main screen

* New 720p stream option added to Ustream and Twitch broadcasts

* Archiving of streams

* Redesign of stream layout (comments moved to right)

* Ability to adjust the brightness of the DS4 controller lightbar

* Can use the DS4 touchpad to operate the keyboard

* HDCP enable/disable added to system settings

* Ability to set a screen saver

* System wide playstation messages added to notification

* Sort trophies by rarity level

* Ability to use iOS/Android playstation app to set profile picture

* Submit grief reports for inappropriate profile pictures of stream broadcasts

* Can force 5.1 channel over HDMI even if 7.1 support detected

* Can turn off rear touchpad and icons when using Vita remoteplay

* Easier remoteplay link establishment if PS4 and vita are both signed in to the same account on the same network.

* Deep Colour added to video output

* More voice commands added

* Performance increase of apps list/store and whatsnew section

They're the only ones I care about... And the last one is only if I can exploit it to upload something they don't allow usually. :p

- Pictures you take on your smartphone or tablet can now be set as your profile picture.

AFAIK its not your PS avatar (seen by everyone), just your profile pic (you are 'real name' friends).

 

 

Driveclub has finally been given a release date!!! October 8th!!

 

I'll just leave this here:

Few more additions:

 

* No more login screen when reconnecting controller

Share factory app isnt live in the UK yet, it's 1GB in size and it's co-developed by the Sony Vegas team.

Still missing the ability to organise my games! With PS+, crossbuy, Free2Play, and a couple of purchases I know have 15 games already with anoher 2 this month. Scrolling to find games is a complete mere espeacilly when auto updates reorders them!

I just hope you can 'Free Roam' and just drive around the world if you wanted. I haven't read anywhere that actually confirms that! The racing is all good, but sometimes you just want to get behind the wheel of a V10 and take in mouthwatering graphics!!

 

Does anyone know if Driveclub will have a free roam kind of setup?

I thought DriveClub was a traditional racer in that respect. The Crew on the other hand looks a little bit more interesting. I'll probably get the free version of DriveClub with PS+ this year, and grab a copy of the The Crew next year when prices have dropped, or a PS+ discount is offered.

 

The Crew looks like it'll include a more free roam experience. Hopefully something closer to Burnout Paradise (best driving game ever!).

I've pre-ordered DriveClub from Game, I've got PS+ so could get it for free... Will I get the pre-order bonus stuff if I download it though? I presume not? :( Might cancel the pre-order.

PS+ version of Driveclub is 1 country with 5 tracks and 10 cars. PSN+ version can be upgraded to full. The full version has at least 5 countries (Chile, Norway, Scotland, India and Canada) but no indication on the amount of countries in the final product. Don't know how many cars.

 

The game can be Platinum'd with just PSN+ version. For those without PSN+ they'll be 3 months bundled in with the full version.

Yikes - I updated to 2.00 the day after it was released

 

Presume if it won't wake up, gotta disconnect power lead and re connect and power on again ( as per the article and any PC type device ) if you disconnect the power lead whilst it is on then doesn't do the HDD any good ?
