Morning All, We're in the process of re-assessing our photocopier company and wondered if there were any recommendations of a good, reliable supplier? We've got several MFDs that do stapling/booklet/etc., quite a few slightly smaller devices designed for A4 printing, and then some direct-print devices in specific offices. The larger devices use PaperCut. I have looked through previous threads, but just wondered if I could get a feel for more current opinions on where people have had particularly good experiences over a long period of time. So, any recommendations for a company that can lease us that sort of equipment, and also has good service? Thanks

Hello all, Started work at a new school yesterday and have inherited a lot of outstanding issues. One of them is a virtual Linux server that has broken and now not working as an SMTP relay. I have never used Linux so trying to resolve will be very difficult. At my old establishment, we simply used smtp.Gmail.com but there were no VLANS in place. All printers are on a a vlan at the new school and the routing is handled by virtual nics on a Smoothwall appliance. If I were to use smtp.Microsoft.com - would it automatically route or is this why there is the need for the Linux vm acting as a relay? We don't scan a huge volume and I just wondered before I tried to work out the settings if its feasible. I haven't got much experience of VLANS. Any help wouid be much appreciated as I'm very busy at the moment!

Hi all, Our school have recently been donated a Canon IR 2200 photocopier. The bursar wants it in her office to be used as a network printer. However there is no network card in it. Do you think that just any card will do or does it have to be specific? I cannot find ANY information about it on the Internet!

I'm not quite sure if this is the correct area to be posting this, but does anyone know what might be wrong with a Fuji Xerox Document Center c450. When you turn it on the little touch screen doesn't turn on and the interrupt light just flashes green but it does sound the rest of it is turning on (paper tray raising). I would call someone out to look at it but its privately owned and it's like $600 to get someone out and that would be quite expensive if its just something silly. I've tried google but my skills appear to be failing me this time.

Is it possible to setup a photocopier to prompt for an individual users code when photocopying, but NOT prompt for a code when printing via the network. This photocopier is a Olivetti d-ColorMF304, but interface is very similar to a ricoh etc. Cant go down the option of popping up for printer codes, as the pupil laptops dont always remember to prompt for the code! Saving codes is fine for teachers, but 2 in 5 laptops would fail to prompt for the code so pupils would wonder why there print jobs wouldnt come out. So my best option is code on photocopying, but not on printing. But for the life of me I cannot seen how this can be done
