I have stopped using converters and go direct with Hamid to vga / display port full length cables. Where possible I plug direct to projector from PC and hide it in trunking, face places have caused me issues in the past.

We currently have Apple school manager for management of apps only, not set it up for users yet as the mini 2 don’t support classroom. Would love to use the Apple classroom if they go for the iPad 5s At moment they are quick research devices, golden time toys and some times they get used for google earth, movie making and may be early years playing on them. Seems a lot of money to buy / lease two banks for browsing like they are at moment. One teacher said current iPads are out of date and need replacing

I have been asked to look into getting 2 banks of iPads for a primary school. They have iPad mini 2s at present but becoming extinct. What are the advantages of getting 2 banks of new iPads these days?

Hello all, we are a primary school, only just got our allocation of DFE devices, we requested laptops but they have sent chrome books. Our issue is we use office365. How can I set the chrome books up for use as we have no google accounts? I turn on the device and it’s asking to sign into google, if I create 1 account it's asking for a mobile number, got about 40 devices, I know I need Google education but wondered if I can use office365 on these chrome books. What I need to manage is Send out SSID with proxy and port Send out apps Allow apps to be downloaded by end user Sophos, if possible Not bothered about filtering

I have been given X amount of android tablet devices (not my decision to purchase these) as we use iPads in school managed by Apple school and lightspeed. Is there a FREE or CHEAP way to manage android devices? I would like to set these up in groups for different key stages, push out apps, updates and lock down settings such as download own apps.

We use RM so interested in this thread. I believe if you use iPads 4+ that support iPad classroom where the child logs on it will monitor their history, (we still using iPad 2) I heard (not got around to doing yet) but @netsupport have a browser you need to use that logs key words typed in their browser only. Not sure on licensing

We are from a Lancashire primary school who do not use BTlancs but use RM that use a proxy, Teams is slow but that could because of our poor speed of 50MB

Cant remember last time I used a scanner, I tend to use a range of apps which work for me, I like genius scan and scan bot.

I had to change a setting the other day as we were finding a lot of resources we allowed last year blocked this year due to strict safe search being applied, changed it to moderate which allowed more websites and keeps staff happier

We have the same issue, all cameras are connected to the hikvision cctv unit then one network cable running from the unit to switch in the main office which I have assigned a static ip so i can see the cctv system on our network, no strain on network as all recording records to cctv unit. I type in the ipaddress in edge and log in and can see system from any internal PC, i have office staff, management and site with access from their office via their own login. saves me a job looking at footage.

Capita are still working on it but SOLUS 3 is back working on my serverThey had to do a full reinstall of a new update of solus 3 - version 3.12.412 does not like the update it pushed out last week. took capita 2hrs to fix. Solus 3 has a new version of 3.12.50.2 However I cant open SIMS on the server or redstor backup now - waiting for capita to get a remote session with me

They remoted connected to my server, sims will not open on server today but did yesterday, its missing the deployment service They going to get a more senior engineer on monday when they had a think how to solve it

I have checked my solus3 this morning and all of my agents stopped responding last night around 18:10hrs. There was an update applied - which i was not made aware of. Luckily SIMS is still working but not solus3 I have phoned capita and they cant help at the moment Any ideas how I can get my agents to check in and get it back working
