  1. Hello all, So after getting beaten by the lack of Azure AD Premium for password writeback on prem. And the ilogical behaviour of GSuite password reset, no option to prioritize the use of email as the first or only reset options for Edu environment i searched the current SSO options. AD Connect supports with minimal configuration the SSO between the domain PCs and the online MS apps. The GSuite connector from the Azure enterprise apps support the SSO even to a second trusted secondary domain with the use of email as the Name id and the joint function. You can select to direct any GSuite password reset request, to the RDS password reset interface. As the initial login in GSuite with the temporary password is not needed. To be tested, the login experience with Chromebooks. Everything else seems to be working. Know bug, O365 users have the option to change their online account password despite no writeback feature in the non Premium Azure AD. Is there anything that i should be aware of? Credits to a K12 post for pointing to the joint function as the MS how to fails to cover this scenario and to Asitha De Silva for the AD Connect how to guide.
  2. +1 for Quick Assist. Impero has the option to prompt for the end users-staff to allow access. You can create a group and assign access to your team.
  3. I sent them an email, XMA, with the serial numbers, after your post.
  4. Hello all, A heads-up as we had a few incidents with them ones, melting down- burning in the DVD power supply, and triggering the fire alarm. The faulty cable is a power and Sata combo. Initially only the 23+ and now another with 24+ serial. Their models probably are: VIG645M VIG646M VIG647M As we haven't replaced them all as yet, a quick proactive solution is to remove the combo cable that connects the DVD player. If the DVD is still needed you will need new power and Sata cables.
  5. Microsoft turned off outlook.com for business accounts over the weekend. They haven't updated their documentation as yet. Did i miss their announcement? The irony: I set our domain as the default one instead of the onmicrosoft. I was searching for the entry needed to respond to logins from outlook.com... What is the default login link then? outlook.office365.com or outlook.office.com Thanks to r/sysadmin for the heads up.

  17. Hello, If properly set you need the external static IP pointing to you internal Rds server port 443 open on the firewall and probably the Rds UDP port too. Also the external FQDN needs to be entered on the Rdsweb server role not the internal one. Will be helpful if you post what instructions you followed. So are you saying that you can't open the event viewer on the Rds server or the IIS manager from it.

Powershell is probably needed to fine tune the policies. And their spam and fish policies are quite sensitive atm. With no clear answer on how to mitigate legit mails from being flagged as spam or fish from MS.
