We had the same problem. Shared PC mode seems to disable OneDrive completely on the device and we were wanting to run KFM same as you. I think it's do with shared PC mode deleting the profiles on logout each time. The only fix is to create a device configuration policy on intune with the two custom settings you listed. We have been running this for a few months now and it works perfectly. Once this is in place the normal KFM polices for silent setup work on these devices.

The issue now is that because you are restricted somewhat on the hardware, the lead times (particularly on APs) are crazy. Currently at 90 days for most of the Meraki APs.

Yes i use it, I use a script to create and delete the bastion each time i need it to save on costs. Would recommend doing this as it quite expensive to run 24/7.

Yes they specify needing a 5yr manufacturer warranty. With the Meraki kit they will also fund the first 5 years of licencing.

I have had 7 schools accepted on this project, it's a follow on from the rural gigabit scheme so you had to be on that project to qualify. The spec is taken from the DfE's new school build tech spec so it's very high compared to what I would normally consider for infrastructure upgrades. The 5 year min on the warranty rules out any unifi kit, at the moment we are looking at Meraki and Aruba.

Could this be from the DfE device program? When you login now you can sign up to say you are looking for device donations. Someone with access to your school account could have completed that form.

The A3 licence works on a ratio of 1:40 faculty to students. For each faculty licence you purchase you are entitled to 40 student licences (which are free). EDIT: Should also say that you have to licence all your teaching staff to qualify, but this is the same for OVS.

The A3 provides a digital user licence for windows 10 enterprise. For example if the machine is Win 10 Pro and an A3 user logs in, it elevates the version to enterprise. If a non A3 user logs in it stays at the devices activated version. There is no key so you aren't able to activate a machine using this. Also, the machine has to be running at least Win 10 Pro to be able to have the A3 licence digitally upgrade to Enterprise. This can be a problem if you are reimaging old machines and no longer have an OVS licence, or you purchase Win 10 home devices.

From my understanding it's 15x your combined A3 faculty and student licences. e.g. 100x Faculty A3 (Paid) 4000x Student A3 (Free) Max devices = 61,500 The numbers are so large you don't really need to worry about it after you get a few A3 faculty licences.

Don't believe so, you can create the sendgrid account without any other active services. May have to have a payment method registered.

Don't have SAGE but for our finance system i created a sendgrid account. If you sign up through Azure you get 10K free emails monthly which should be more than enough.

I've been using it throughout lockdown, works really well when people are already calling in to report the problem. Within a few seconds I'm on their desktop, rather than having to wait for them to pickup the email. However there is one bug i get fairly often where I'm not able to click any tray icons, anyone else get this?

From my understanding each call plan only pools with identical call plans, so your three big bundles won't pool with your 120min plans.

After you apply the package to a user it will then make the individual policies editable. It can take a few hours.

We have a mix across our trust, i'm looking to come up with a "best practice" template for new schools. Some schools go for. [Team] ABC Primary School - [Channel] Teachers - [Channel] Support Staff - [Channel] Leadership Team etc And then of course there's the ones I don't like to talk about...
