Do you get the same level of control as you do with something like a Ruckus controller?

We exclude the rooms where microbits are used from bitlocker enforcement but then use Sophos to block all usbs in those machines until the microbits are used then disable the policy. Re-enable the policy after. This is the only way we have found where we can use microbits.

We don't have many iPads but we asked for a secondary proxy port that doesn't require authentication and defaults to pupil level filtering. Makes life easier for us.

So we had no Internet or phones at School since yesterday afternoon, I checked about 11.15pm at night and still could not remote in via the VPN. Checked again this morning at 7am and the connection worked. Not sure when it was fixed but definitely went 12 hours with no connection. That is the longest outage we have had at the Primary School. Not good for a School not to have phones available for parents to ring in or us to ring parents. Someone tell me what the process is to get compensation for this!!! @SchoolsBroadband

Has it only become an issue since you upgraded? We are on Papercut MF 17.2.3 and run it exactly the same way with no issues. Worth upgrading to version 18?

Might go for a wireless or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse which can be taken away when not used.

First chance to do this today after the adverse weather. Have followed the steps and tested using a laptop. The laptop picked up an IP in the new VLAN so looks good. Just need to test with the CCTV later in the week. Thanks for the help.

We didn't as the first domain only contained a handful of users when we were trialing G Suite. No data migration was required.

I managed to move mine about 2 years ago. We originally started G Suite on a domain and then changed our domain name so I created a new G Suite domain and Google Support moved all my Chromebook licences over. Still have control of both domains. Only difference here was that we owned both domains. The secondary school manage it for you but you must own the domain name surely?

What about when they are recruiting for a Headteacher ? They will be looking through numerous application forms that contain personal data of the applicants. I ask because we just went through this process.

Would you be able to tell me where on Ruckus I can do this please? Also what are you doing about getting Proxy settings onto the devices? My understanding is that Android devices have to be done manually whereas IOS can be done by pushing out WPAD/PAC file?

A few threads on this in the past but not many recommendations. We need a movable Lecturn for the main hall. It should contain a PC and monitor. We are in the same position so would be interested in how you proceed. If anyone has any good instructions that they give to their byod users I would be interested in taking a look. The problem we have is we get visitors in the evenings when no one IT savvy is around and they want to connect into the wifi. Before Netsweeper and SSL we just gave them the guest wifi password and it all worked. The automatically got the default filtering policy.

Without opening another thread as this is related. Can someone tell me if its possible to register a Trust domain on G Suite for Education? We want our Trust domain on Google too but it will only have a handful of users. Is it better to register it with G Suite as a non-profit?

How do the contacts lists work when you have 1 tenancy with OUs for different Academies? How do you distinguish between users in different Schools?
