I have just created a G Suite domain with all settings currently still at default so ; 1. All additional services are off except Chrome Web Store & Google Search Console 2. DoubleClick off by default 3. We have a permissions page in the Admissions booklet which lists all the Core Google Apps we use so Parents sign it off. Older students get access to Youtube and Blogger too.

We use Audio Technica ATW-2110APwireless microphones. Currently we have lapel mics attached to the bodypacks but I want to look at discreet headsets. Does anyone know any that would work with the bodypacks we have? The bodypacks seem to have a 4 pin connector but I'm not sure what it's called so I have no idea what I should be searching for.

What about this bit? We have a vNIC on each machine for VirtualBox.

We use showpoint to do this. You need a pc connected to each screen that can run powerpoint. Very simple for staff to use. They just update a centrally held powerpoint. ShowPoint | Auto-start Digital Signage Presentations

Netsweeper with Schools Broadband
fiza replied to TMBS's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I have a problem with the proxy settings in IE (we run windows 7). The proxy is correctly set and I have exceptions in for local addresses but if I try to browse to the web ui of one of my switches I get the "ERROR: Failed to connect to host" screen which is the response sent by the proxy. My exceptions are set like this : authportal;.local;172.*.*.* Should that not bypass proxy for any local addresses? -

When you want to order any windows devices you can provide that PDF to your supplier to get discounted pricing. Not sure how much of a discount you get as I haven't tried myself yet. -

Ruckus - Only dish out IP addresses from specific range
fiza replied to tj2419's topic in Wireless Networks
We do this in conjunction with vlans. If you have vlans just associate the ssid with the vlan you want it to get IP addresses in. -
Just told by Very-PC that the discounted licences are back when you purchase devices from registered suppliers. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/windows/shapethefuture.aspx

E-mail on personal devices and GDPR
fiza replied to cakeinmilk's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
G Suite now allow you to choose basic which means no device policy download is needed onto their device but it still forces them to have a passcode or pin on their mobile device. -

That's my main concern with File Stream. Once you enable it for your domain then users can install it at home on computers that you have no control over. Which could be vulnerable to all sorts of malware/ransomware that could quite easily reach Google Drive through the mapped File Stream drive.
