  1. We spoke to Microsoft about this and they actually said to use Google Chrome instead!!! WTF??? Andrew
  2. Scout the dog.....this is soooo funny! This Dog Can Stack Anything On His Head. You’ll Die Laughing At What His Owner Has Tried…LOL | Distractify We laughed......for moments Enjoy! Andrew

  3. We use Stone Computers for this. They collect for free and are really efficient. IT manufacturer and solutions provider to the Public Sector | Stone Group Andrew
  4. We had a similar issue to this last year. I am assuming your PCs are Windows 7? If so, it may be the Win 7 autotuning thing thats causing the issue. You can disable that quite easily. We run this command in a PC startup script and it seemed to fix the problem: netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled Might be worth a try? Cheers - Andrew
  5. Thanks chaps. What I specifically need to know is if I buy a couple of microservers (for storage/backup purposes) with Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 installed, can I then upgrade them to full Windows Server 2008R2 and be covered by our EES license? Anyone know? Cheers_ Andrew
  6. Can anyone point me to the MS guide which details what can/cannot be upgraded from a home license please? (when using EES) I know one exists, but cannot find it. Cheers_ Andrew
  7. Has anyone found a fix for this? Got the problem after installing IE9. Andrew
  8. I have just upgraded the RAM in one of our Dell R510 servers from 8gb to 32gb. No problems. However, when I reboot the server all of a sudden one of the hard drives is virtually full! Before the RAM upgrade the HDD was only 60% full. I think this may be something to do with the PageFile, but not sure? Anyone experienced this problem before???? Cheers - Andrew
  9. Office 365/Exchange Online is down completely now! What a week with this wonderful item of Microsoft loveliness!!!!! Is everyone else affected or just our users??? Andrew
  10. Despite them saying that Outlook Web Access users are not affected, I can confirm they are and our users are having problems logging on. Hotmail (which I think runs in conjunction with Outlook Web Access) is also affected at the moment. Andrew
  11. Does that not require AD Integration/Single sign-on? Andrew
  12. Check the spelling and password in your Meraki dashboard. We had a similar problem with our iPads and after much head scratching I discovered it was due to a simple spelling mistake! Cheers - Andrew
  13. Yes, I did think about Chrome. It just seems ridiculous that a Microsoft product works better with a competitors browser than one of their own! How to win friends and influence people...NOT!!! Andrew
  14. Aaaagghhhhhh..........!!!! This goes from bad to worse!!! I upgraded a couple of test PCs to IE10 and it does indeed fix the multiple attachments problem. However, another problem has now reared its head! When using IE10 I have found that after a user logs out from their Office 365/Outlook online account and then tries to log back in it doesn't work! All they get is the sign-in screen and the a loading page which just hangs forever and they cannot get in to their email. Tried it on both test PCs with different Office 365 users and the same problem is apparent. Downgraded one of the PCs back to IE9 and, voila, that problem is gone.......!! I was a fan of Office 365, but this latest version is full of problems...... Andrew
  15. Just had a long conversation with MS Support who were certain that IE9 should work for multiple files, but their technician could not get it to work either! So, after much faffing about he recommended we start to use IE10! I have installed IE10 on a test PC and I can confirm that multiple attachments do work (for us) on IE10. Thanks for everyone's advice so far. Andrew
  16. They sell the iTunes cards at the Post Office now. We buy them from our local branch, which is quite near the school. Andrew
  17. Sorry, but it is the case! I am not likely to say it if it weren't true!!!!!! We have just upgraded to the latest version of Office 365/Exchange online and we are using Windows 7 (32 bit) with IE9 and I can replicate the problem on every PC in our school. The multiple-attachment functionality existed and worked fine on the version of Office 365 we were running last week, so I think I am pretty safe to say that its the upgrade which has broken this feature!!! If you feel that we are missing something then I would be interested to hear where we are going wrong and what, specifically, you are doing to get it to work? Thanks. Andrew
  18. Just been informed by some users that in the 'new' version of Office 365/Exchange Online they can no longer add or save multiple attachments to emails. So, if they receive an email with several attachments they have to save them one-by-one or if they want to add multiple attachments to an outbound email they have to do them one-by-one and the usual Ctrl or Shift key methods no longer work!!!! WTF???? Come on Microsoft, what are you playing at???? Andrew
  19. The whole Office 365 service has been terrible for us today, despite me saying we'd had no technical problems! Slow, glitchy and very annoying for users! Anyone else having problems today?? Andrew
  20. No technical problems, just the look and feel of the latest version is not good, in my opinion! I suppose we will get used to it in due course..... Andrew
  21. We upgraded from Live@Edu a few months ago and the new Office 365 has been well received by staff and students. However, MS have just 'upgraded' our Office 365 again to the latest version and its horrible!!! Users are complaining and nobody likes the 'new look'....its hard to read and just looks awful...! It now looks more like Outlook online (the version which replaced Hotmail) and I have to say that we are not impressed. Why do Microsoft do this??? Unhappy. Andrew
  22. You need to get the Windows Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj151815.aspx Install the MSIs on your Administrator PC then pop it open and run this command: Import-Csv "Passwords2reset.csv"|%{Set-MsolUserPassword -userPrincipalName $_.UserPrincipalName –NewPassword YOURNEWPASSWORD -ForceChangePassword $true} This allows you to reset a list of passwords to the same new password and then each user has to change their password when they login. The CSV has to be in the format: "UserPrincipalName" "[email protected]" Hope this helps? Andrew
  23. Does anyone know of any software which would allow us to circulate a document to all staff (by email or via a shared location) and then require them to sign or verify that they had read it? Their replies/confirmations would then be visible in a list for the document owner to see who had read and confirmed they had read the document. I am sure there is a software product out there which does this sort of thing, but cannot find it at the moment!! Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers_ Andrew
  24. Iphone 5 gets my vote. Its great. Had a few Android phones and none have been as good as the i5, in my opinion! Andrew
  25. We use The Climate as well, its good. Whenever we had a power cut at school (we get quite a few!) the air con went off and didn't come back on, so the tempreature just went up and up hence the climate monitor. The monitor is on one of the UPS, so it keeps going even when there is a power outage. Since then, I have managed to get our air con engineer to re-program our air con unit so that it reverts to 'last-known state' (i.e. power on) when the mains power is restored and so as soon as the power comes back on the air con wakes up The aircon engineer told me that most aircon units are capable of that, but he did download a software (firmware?) update for ours when he sorted it out, so may be worth asking your engineer next time they come to service the unit.
