  1. Looks to be that way. We're seeing the same message here.
  2. We’re about to use Microsoft’s Attack Simulator which comes as part of our Office 365 subscription. We’ve trained staff about security threats including phishing and let them know that a test phishing email will be sent out over the coming month. After the results from that come back, we’ll look to launch another phishing email which staff aren’t pre-warned about. Microsoft Attack Simulator can be linked up so that users enter a training course (you can select which course you want them to do) if they interact with the phishing email, it also points out the things to look for with the specific email you sent out. The only thing I’ve found is that Chrome sometimes marks the site you’re taken to if you click the link as suspicious, so we had to play around until we found a domain that wasn’t flagged - there’s plenty of options.
  3. Looking to download the MSI version, however the link on this page of the ExamWritePad website is not working: https://sheldnet.co.uk/examwritepad/?page_id=46 Are you able to provide the correct link for the latest version? Thanks
  4. Hi all, Has anyone ever used this add-in before: https://www.gmayor.com/email_merge_addin.html If not, is anyone able to recommend anything similar. We're looking at doing a mail merge, but would like to add an additional document to the email message. The above does what we'd like, just unsure of its vailidity. Thanks in advance!
  5. Afraid it is installed. It works for one of our test accounts and another one of our admin accounts, but not for my admin account or the person who needs it. I've also tried reinstalling SIMS and BDE, but still the same problem.
  6. We seem to be having an issue with some users accessing SIMS Options on our remote desktop server. The error message we get when trying to access it is 'Error: Password file not found - aborting...'. I'm able to access it fine on a local workstation, just not on the server. I've tried all the steps as outlined in this support document - https://support.capitasoftware.com/csm/?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0022264 and also tried to locate and replicate a secondary sims.ini file which it mentions but had no luck. Thanks.
  7. Thanks, this is what we've done, however it's just not as nice and as easy for our users
  8. Apologies to resurface an old thread, but did anyone ever manage to get Adobe CC apps to SSO without the need for the user to first put in their email each time they logon and open up an app? We've recently made the move from device licensing to shared device licensing, however I can see it becoming a bit of a pain for a user who just wants to open a pdf and they're then forced to sign in!
  9. Same issue here. In the end I set up a GMail account which we retain access to. Twitter emails just never came through. I can see by doing a message trace that some of our staff get emails from [email protected] quite regularly, it just seems to be new account/password resets that don't come through. The biggest problem is you can't get any support from Twitter on this!
  10. Hi, We're looking to buy some ViewSonic displays for our school, however we're having a hard time understanding which ones the newer display and the differences between them. The two models we've looked at are: IFP7530 IFP7550-2EP The IFP7530 have more RAM and a new version of Android, but then has a thicker bezel which some may say is a step backwards? Does anyone have any further information on these displays? Thanks!
  11. Which button do you press? None of them jump out at me as a Freeze button!
  12. We’re currently looking to purchase some ViewSonic displays. Are you able to freeze from the remote? The only way we’ve noticed so far is by touching a button on screen.
  13. We purchased Edulink One initially for our PE staff to take registers. This works seamlessly and is a lot better than other solutions we’ve had in the past and comes in at a very similar price than just a register app. You get a load more features which we haven’t yet fully engaged with due to having numerous other systems in place - we hope to migrate eventually! Support has been very good and if we’ve asked for something, they’ve often been keen to help us implement it
  14. Morgan Computers for some good quality refurbs, AMC, Laptops Direct to list a few
  15. Would you be open to the idea of paying for a Channel 38 licence? Whilst I understand it’s an ongoing cost, I believe it only costs around £90 a year and that gives you access to Channel 38 as well as some frequencies between 823-832 MHz.
  16. I agree. I think they'll always be limitations with how much technology can help with this situation. I believe we also use the school bells as part of our lock down procedure so that could be something you could incorporate?
  17. We use NetSupport Notify to broadcast messages. The messages are sent from a console which can be installed on any amount of machines and then the sent messages pop up in the foreground of everyone's screen or those who you'd like the message to appear to. The messages can also be set to close automatically or the user has to acknowledge and play a sound of your choice when a message is received.
  18. Sorry to resurface an old thread but I can confirm that the above does still fix SIMs Examinations Module with SIMs Spring 2019. It's amazing how this issue still hasn't been fixed years on.
