Twitter emails are just rubbish, think @Garacesh has the same issue on a different mail system? (Forgot if you're on 365 or that weird MDaemon or something) Nothing ever shows in the 365 traces as even having attempted to have been delivered. The only way I've managed to get them is by turning email notifications off, clicking "Resend email", then turning them on again. Eventually (takes between 2 and 10 goes) an email will arrive.

I didn't think I had to put "dogs" down on the food allergy list? Hopefully they will be clearly labelled.

Interestingly we have just got one for my housemate, but not one for me. I guess they are targeting men only with their selection.

Also completely wasteful - why does everybody in the house need their own personal copy of the leaflet when one per house has always been sufficient?

We've received personally addressed things today but from the Conservatives (basically "Look at all these parties blocking our Brexit deal, boo hiss"). We're also not on whichever register it is you can opt out of. Presumably the parties have access to the same list that the electoral people sending out the polling cards use. Disappointing though considering GDPR etc that we don't appear to be able to control who has access to our data!

We allow access to C: but hide it, and also have set the GPO to remove/prevent access to "Run" on the start menu - this stops them being able to type things like "C:" into the address bar.

Recently had a 1G/1G line installed, the prices I was quoted ranged from £560/month to £880/month (both ex VAT). That's on a 3 year contract with no setup fee, however we've already had Openreach fibre blown in 2012 spare. We're on a Virgin tail but provided over an Openreach fibre (as we're not in a Virgin area). When I was pricing it up there was very little difference between 200M over Gig and Gig over Gig.

I got one recently too. I really don't understand why they are using them - it's not like they will save room on the vans as they already have cardboard packets for thin items, books etc.

You don't need a different printer - it should just show up as a printer in Windows. We have a networked Magicard Rio Pro 360 and use the following: - Paxton Net2 card designer for staff ID cards (printed onto Paxton cards) - MS Word document for staff lunch/library/printer passes (mailmerged with names only) - Custom program which integrates with the MIS for student ID/lunch/library/printer cards

If that's written into the contract then I doubt that'd actually hold anywhere as it's an unfair contract - "You have to sign this if you want to cancel, but if we ignore you and refuse to send you the thing to sign then you can never cancel"

If you have proof you told them then I'd just give up and wait for them to invoice, then tell them why you aren't paying it. Had similar experience with Virgin and it was a complete waste of time (and stressful!) when, even after telling them in writing (posted recorded delivery)/email/phone/twitter they still invoiced for the next year. Just let the invoice to go the threatening letters stage (as you get them contacting you then) and said "I have proof I gave you notice x months ago, bye".

I usually get SSDs from Scan, tends to beat everywhere else on price.

We have a single SSID with multiple policies in NPS, for our domain joined laptops we use a certificate signed by the AD CA Servers which is automatically trusted and there is no warning message, however on our visitor/non-domain policy we use a third party signed certificate which does get this prompt. So I would imagine adding the certificate via GPO would solve this: Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Public Key Policies Not sure where you'd put it, ours go in Trusted Root CA but the certificate of the CA goes there, rather than of the NPS server.

Do you have one forest, or one domain? One forest, with a domain per school, you can have one or multiple ADFS servers: one per domain, authenticating the users for that domain only, or one in the forest root domain authenticating anybody in the forest. We have one forest but multiple domains (one domain per school) and are currently thinking about migrating away from one ADFS per domain to a central forest root domain setup.

If I do this from my Win 10 PC using the RSAT GP Management tool it hangs when I hit OK (Win 10 1809), worked fine on 1803 and earlier. If I do the same changes logged in to an RDP session to one of the DCs (2012R2 or 2016) it works fine.

We removed the "Prevent access to these drives" setting, but left "Hide these drives" and "Remove and prevent access to the "run" command" switched on. They can't see the C drive, they can't type the path into explorer, but things on the C drive work like onedrive.

Oh, will also add - don't get Sandisk. We've had about 7 of 300 die so they have been fairly reliable but these were supposedly under warranty, you fill out the warranty claim and then nothing ever happens, disappointing.

The Blackpool store moved down 2 stores to a smaller building earlier in the year. I think moving into smaller buildings was part of their restructuring strategy that has ultimately failed due to being out of cash and nobody wanting to invest.

We initially did 120/128GB Sandisk drives everywhere a few years ago, if I was doing it again now I'd go for 240GB as 120's a bit small once Windows has done a few updates and cached a few profiles.

For tablets you just download word/excel etc from the Apple app store, you need to log in to your account to be able to edit things (and it's designed to work off onedrive rather than files stored on the ipad). Not sure if it's one of the bigger ipads that requires different licensing though, the above works on "normal" (classic) ipad sizes.
