Hi You can invite groups through the invite student button in Google Classroom but you need to ensure that the group you're trying to invite is marked as visible in the GAL for it to appear in Google Classroom, i've just tested this myself using a student group in the admin and adding some test users to the group. Searched for students and invited and in the list it doesnt show the group but the members of the group you have invited.

You can create your own guided tour videos using something like Screencastify https://www.screencastify.com/ in Chrome (free lets you do 5mins with watermark) or Adobe Spark (Free) to present the apps in a quick easy way. You can also use Google Slides and link it through Chrome Sign Builder to put it on digital signage. If you want something a bit more pre done you can use Google Image Search and the additional filter tools (Type: Animated) to show you some of the animated gifs others have done on how to execute something in G Suite. It is dependant on what context your presenting though and how you want to present it: Is it features of Drive? or showing students how they should be using it?

Hi On current content you find in YouTube that is useful you can utilise the Auto closed captioning if the screens are silent, steps to do this here https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6373554?hl=en-GB Can I ask what elements of G Suite are you looking to promote and in what context? I may have something or be able to put you in touch with the right person to give you some polished material.

Hi Bev "We are moving from an LEA run Gmail service, to our own Google Apps for Education account." So you're moving from an LEA Google Domain to your own Google Domain? Is this correct? the migration tools are as you said mainly around e-mail etc but there is a script available that you can use to migrate individual drives. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/drive-migration-by-wizkid/kiedoeackeoedpkkognggfcnnjdmeepe Where these apps/scripts fail is if the Owner of said file has disabled the ability for collaborators to re-share the document, i'm not one to complain about this as its a nice fail safe to have on sensitive data that needs to remain in the hands of the right people. Here to help further if you need me to

Hi That is correct you can just purchase the Chrome device management licenses if you wish and still qualify for the offer. Obviously the best use of the licenses is with the Chrome devices to impact on. Any questions though give me a call

Google Chrome stops connecting
DarrellR replied to bonnett11's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I also noticed you mentioned it works fine on your own login but not students or teachers which suggests it may be an OU/Group permissions issue in the UTM, can I also ask which UTM/Web Filter solution you're using ? and how are you populating it with the users? (Active Directory (Equivalent) or Google domain) -

I had the pleasure of being at Google HQ last week and discussing the buzz around Android apps coming to Chrome, very exciting stuff, did you know: The expected public release of Android for Chrome will be later this week and will be available first on Acer Chromebook R11/C738T, Asus Chromebook Flip (C100P) and Google Chromebook Pixel (2015). With more expected later in the year -https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/6401474 did you know: When you visit the Chrome web store, you'll be able to browse Android apps collection and find apps such as Evernote and Vine https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/6088175?hl=en-GB did you know: If your school has developed its own android app you can port it onto Chromebooks using the App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) https://developer.chrome.com/apps/getstarted_arc for more details I've actually started playing around with some of the apps on my own ASUS Flip and I have to say I am very impressed with it so far. Tell me about your experience below Darrell Raynard

Afternoon All I'm Darrell and im looking to join in conversations around Google Apps for Education (GAfE) and consult with people about all aspects of deployment strategy surrounding new technologies. I come from a solutions integration background having worked with a number of schools over the years on integrating iOS into classrooms and implementing change management strategy. I work for Haptic as a GAfE solutions specialist and as well as being an Apple Tech Coordinator, I have also now become a Google certified Educator on the road to becoming a Google Trainer. I've got a little 2.5 yo boy who keeps me busy, but when I'm not keeping him entertained, I'm either playing Rugby or attempting to get better at League of Legends (Jungler main and Mid alt). I would go back to an MMORPG but haven't found one that beats vanilla Anarchy Online yet. Thanks Darrell Raynard
