We’re at an exciting time in the on-going development of IT function which supports our existing schools - consisting of Bolton St Catherine’s Academy, Canon Slade School, St James’s C of E High School and Bury Church of England High School, with expansion to include additional schools in the near future. The role sits at the Trust central office, working closely with the Trust IT Strategic Lead, and the IT Network Managers from across the schools in Trust. The person we are looking for will possess: • Flexible and clear-thinking skills. • Motivation and drive with the ability to work on their own initiative. • Integrity, be reliable and trustworthy. • A demonstrable record of success to date. • Effective communication skills with the ability to relate well to all stakeholders and external partners. • Clear and accurate reporting skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. You will have the experience, skills and capacity to: • Ensure that the IT and communication systems are operational and purposeful for the teaching, learning and management functions of all schools across the Trust. • Ensure that maintenance and projects are delivered on time and within budgets. • Manage the team of Network IT Managers. • Contribute to the Trust’s IT development planning and systems design. • Actively contribute to the school’s IT vision. • Plan an effective training programme for the IT technicians and wider Academy Trust staff. • Liaise with support providers to ensure efficient resolution to problems. IT Network Manager - Bury Church of England High School * Grade G SCP 23– 27 * £27,741 to £31,346 * Full time, 37 hours per week * Permanent Post * Required ASAP subject to clearances Bury Church of England High School has recently joined the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other three schools in the MAT - St James’s C of E High School, Canon Slade School and Bolton St Catherine’s Academy; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress. We are looking to recruit a full time IT Network Manager, starting as soon as possible, to join our dedicated team of support staff. This role is based at Bury Church of England High School, but the successful candidate will work closely with the IT Network Managers across the other schools in the MAT and the MAT’s strategic leader for IT as the IT strategy and resources are developed across the Trust. Having recently joined the MAT we are looking to update our IT infrastructure e.g., gigabit internet connection, fibre links, and expand our investment in hardware upgrading classroom resources: interactive screens, desktop PCs.
