  2. Just looking to do this again. After the anniversary update that reset the pictures and removed the user pictures folder. I am attempting to create a new one myself to see if that will work.
  3. I do this in the registry. I'll find it out for you if you need it.
  4. I use PDQ Deploy. It works in such a way that you don't need to write scripts. They have a library of packages (if paid for). So far I have deployed well..... Nothing really but it looks good. I think it has a AD function so you could link it up. I don't have a domain so I can't see what it's like.
  5. Yep. They are. Somehow a restart managed to fix it. I'm not sure what was wrong
  6. I have a computer on the work-group and it is trying to access a shared network drive, where the documents, shares, desktop etc are but it's not finding the server when I type in \\SERVER it's only coming up when I type in it's IP Address. I've been trying to fix it, given it a Static IP Address both on the DHCP Server and on the laptop it'self. The laptop in question has internet access. I did a netsh reset the other day to solve the issue on another computer. It seems to be happening on and off for quite a few laptops and workstations. I've not changed the firewall settings for a few weeks, so I don't think it would be that.
  7. We have a Student one, Staff and Volunteer one too.

  9. Hi guys, I'm trying to setup EasyPHP Devserver for some students in my school but I'm having a problem. Th default root directory for all the files to sit in is local at something like C:/Program Files (x86)/easyphpdevserver\edswww and I can't seem to get it changed to a mapped drive P:/. I thought I fixed this months ago but it didn't work. I don't want the students to save locally because of the obvious reasons. I hope someone can help.
  10. Edublogs is good for web based stuff and for a small payment it lets you add students and student blogs. It runs on WordPress so it's nice and easy to use.
  11. Next year we're going to be using fet
  12. You can learn some languages from Codecademy
  13. I managed to get it working. Turns out no one could access the computer in question. I used the local admin account and it worked.
  14. Hello, I've recently installed PDQ Deploy on my workstation and I have attempted to use it to install some packages. Although when I try to deploy software on it I get a 'fail to connect to target share' error. I've looked at the sharing stuff but it seems it is still not working. I'm thinking this could be something to do with Windows Firewall.
  15. The user could of setup a alias account that is linked with the school email address.
  16. Use WordPress Multisite. Multiple sites across multiple sub directories or sub domains.
  17. Buffer is free to a certain extent.
  18. One of our staff here has their own laptop. He has the windows version although there is also a Chromebook one which works quite well. I forgot what it's called though. Instead of buying new equipment we put Chromium OS on those older laptops and they also work well for our special needs department.
  19. I'll have a look at Keypass today.
  20. I have no access for teachers although if any teachers do require access to student documents then they can ask me and I can get the files that they require.
  21. Hello, Not sure if this is in the right place but I'm putting it here for now. I am looking for a piece of simple software or some kind of web app where I can put my Office, Windows and other software licence codes. I think that NetSupport offers this but I don't need the other stuff in it. I hope you guys can help.
  22. Photoshop is worth a look at.
  23. Once I ran the file our AV removed the file. I have only taught one computer that it's not a threat but I need to teach the others.
