We've seen this with Windows 7 - probably not related but we keep losing the trust between the 7 machine and the domain. The only difference we have is that our XP machines are WDS deployed whilst our 7 machines are MDT2010 deployed. I'll check the NTP server advice that MS advised. Gareth

I'm sure I've read on the macrumor.com forums that you will be able to extract the image from the downloaded App Store file and burn it to cd.Gareth

Evening,For those who understand kms - can you only have one per enterprise domain? Our LEA have an enterprise domain with each school running it's own OU with delegated access. We have setup our kms server but something tells me you can only have one per domain. Is this true? As such we have turned ours off for now.Any advice appreciated.Gareth

The problem with using some random developer account is that your phone is tied to that account until it expires (I've read this on the internet so could be wrong). Yes I could play $7 to some random person. Maybe Edugeek could purchase one and sell off the registrations - not sure it's legal though. Anybody know? Gareth

I thought about a developer account but eventually found the ipsw online. I installed it and was told by the phone that it wasn't authorised. I thought about the triple swipe method but read on Gizmodo that it didn't really work. So I uninstalled iTunes 10.5 beta and restored my phone back to 4.3.3 So @mullet_man - yes I did but decided to wait until the official release. Gareth

Just to close my end of this thread - we have purchased some machines from John after using a demo machine he sent through. Regards Gareth

Yeah - I think this is what I will end up doing. Just need to rebuild a clean machine. Thanks AT. Gareth

How do you guys deploy this? I made an MSI the other year of 1.0.3 (I think that's the version number). It works and I've never bothered to update - but I wish the people who create it would make a generic MSI. I read it can be installed on a network drive but does this install the 'Play With VLC.... ' on the right click button? I don't really want it accessed over the network. Gareth

Does this mean I do not need my UDID registered? Several sites say you need this to upgrade. I've just backed up my SHSH blobs - and it seems there are ways to revert back to older versions - not found that website yet. Gareth

Indeed - do you know if the $99 developeraccoint gives you access? I have the free developer account butthis doesn't give the download. I'll get my school to buy it ;-) Gareth

A cheeky question but has anyone got a Developer ID I can use to try out iOS 5? - totally understand if people say no but dont't want to torrent it. Gareth

We took it on our Kuga but didn't take it on our Fiesta. We pay it interest free over two years but it covers us for three. I change the cars every three years so it suits. Is it worth it? Well as one poster has said - it paid off for him. However after three years of no accident it could be seen as a waste of money. It's a tough decision. Gareth

Nominet Details for your school domain
garethEds replied to Trapper's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Contact Nominet or your LEA to get things changed. When we made changes to ours we had to sent a letter from the Headteacher on school letterhead paper. The changes were made within the week. Regards Gareth -
Cheeky one here - but I don't suppose anyone recorded the Inspiral Carpets on MUTV the other night? It was on at 9pm. Anyone? It's a long shot - but I thought I'd ask. Cheers Gareth

[layout issue] Weird layout issue in IE9 that I get this week
garethEds replied to garethEds's topic in EduGeek.net Site Problems
No I'm not deploying IE9 at the moment. Our school is XP but my laptop here is IE9 - I like it but it doesn't half throw some weird issues as you have said. Gareth -

Good afternoon everyone, I have been in contact with John at ict direct and are very happy with the machine quote he gave us. I agree that the one we have been offered is expensive for what it is. I have asked John for a demo machine - however if you lot are happy with the service then I might take your word for it and come after you if everything goes wrong. Best wishes and thanks everyone, I think this is the way forward. I'm amazed at some of their server prices as well. Gareth

Now that would be funny if you swapped them around..... Gareth

We have seen an odd one this week (it happens sometimes) where the pen continues to offer the user the right click options even though the button has not been pressed. So when you put the pen on the board it opens up a menu - as if it has been right clicked. We never know what to do so solve it. It generally goes but comes back every now and again. Any ideas? Many thanks Gareth

Hi John, Thanks for that information - might I ask who your contact is so I can give them a bell? Funds are low this year in school so getting two for the price of one is an offer too good to miss. Cheers Gareth
