1. This is great! thank you for your super quick response. It makes sense that it is Showme, as they initially thought it was Showbie that they were missing. Similar name. thank you again.
2. Good morning, This is a bit of a puzzle for you. A member of staff used to use an app on their iPad for recording things such as handwriting to demonstrate to class. They no longer have it but cannot remember the name of it. All I have is a video of them using it and I have posted a screen print of the tool bar below.. It would be great if you can tell me what it is. Thank you in advance.
3. Thanks synaesthesia, I feel like I am going around in circles. I have raised another ticket with Benq again. I will see what they come back with but I suspect that you are right and that it is a problem with the functionality within the software rather than the hardware. I will update any findings here.
4. Our school has invested heavily into Pearsons' PowerMaths scheme. It is working great mostly BUT, we have introduced Benq Interactive screen RM6501K into school. It seems that the 'drawing tool' cannot be used with the Benq Touchscreens. The drawing tool just shows 'ghosting'. The drawing tool works on our older Smartboards. It's as if there is a 'layer' that is preventing the pen from working. I have raised this issue with Pearsons and Benq with no avail. If any one has any ideas I can try that would be appreciated. regards Lorraine
5. Yes I do but it is the same as it has always been. I have tried to access on other devices too without success. How is the ip assigned to the virtual controller initially?
6. Hi Safa, I have just tried again to make sure of the https://. Unfortunately I had
7. Hi, Until recently I have been able to connect/ logon to OpenManage Network Manager (virual controller) and view all access points by typing in a particular ip address into address bar. Now when I type the ip I receive 404 page does not exist. The wifi still works but I would like to be able to log on and see who has connected with non school devices etc. I have very little knowledge of setting up wifi and this was setup by another company a few years ago. Are there simple steps I can take to get back on? thanks in advance
8. I had a fresh look at this yesterday. I did some more experimenting and once I applied the GPO to a root OU it seemed to work.
9. Thank you gmonks. Still no log out though. The screen goes black after inactivity time but with a wiggle of the mouse I am back on the user desktop. These are laptops I am working with. Do you think there is something I could change with power settings perhaps?
10. Update, I have now tested on version to Windows 10 Edu as I couldn't get the lock screen gpo to work on Windows Pro. However, it still does not work. I am running out of things to try.
11. Hi again, I have created a 'fresh' gpo following gmonks config suggestion. Group Policy – Computer Configuration –Policies – Administrative Templates – Control Panel – Personalization – Force a specific lock screen and logon image, prevent enabling lock screen camera, prevent changing lock screen and logon image. Now nothing is happening. Where would one set the inactivity timeout as I see the user GPO config are now obsolete?
12. Hi gmonks, thanks for your reply. I have now updated admx files and after testing still only get the screensaver, not a lock out.
13. I've revisited this post as I really thought it had worked but in fact does not. It is only the screen saver that activates in the chosen time, screen lock does NOT work. On further research I see that it may be that some GPOs will not work on Win 10 pro. Is this correct? Am I wasting my time? many thanks in advance.
14. After some more tweaking i found that 'disabling' " Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL " In the following GPO settings worked! Computer Configuration (Enabled)-Policies-Windows Settings -Security Settings -Account Policies/Account Local Policies/Security Interactive Logon

[TH]Policy[/TH] [TH]Setting[/TH]

Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL Disabled

It's not what I wanted ideally but will help with upcoming GDPR. Thanks for all suggestions.
15. It's a laptop with mousepad. The screen saver image will appear but does not lock the user out.
16. Hmm? maybe not then re the read permissions. How can I check please? There are no programs playing /in use btw.
17. Hi 'NetworkServices' your GPO is the same config as mine (except the timings). I don't understand.
18. Just computers.
19. I'm afraid that didn't work. Screensaver did activate with previous settings but I don't get any change now.
20. Hi Arthur, thanks for the update. I am going to try again, starting by scratch and just have the security setting policy (not the screen saver) as you have suggested. I will move the GPO to the correct OU after testing and verifying it works. I will test with the new configuration and update this post.
21. Thanks Arthur, but that is what I have also done in that GPO ( I think you should be able to see that at the top of the previous image) and it doesn't seem to take affect.
22. Hiya, I am currently working on a GPO to force a lock screen after some minutes of inactivity. By using the following settings I have a GPO that works to display a screen saver after a few minutes but still no lock screen. Has anyone got any ideas please?
23. Hi all, thanks for your help yesterday. It all turned out to be related to a broken link between a switch along the line. I appreciate the quick responses as I work alone and it's good to be able to bounce ideas with other people.
24. Sorry, I dont understand, physical switchport?
25. That's an idea Clive. I will have to investigate how to actually access them. They were set up by an outside company a few years ago. I assume it's simply plugging into the 'console' port on the back as opposed to the ENET?
