Working like a treat, the only thing that didnt work on IE was the format of: It must be: 80mm;> for it to work.
-
That seems perfect, your correct I can edit the HTML or insert a class to do what I want so I need the help of javascript. Your code does look perfect! Unfortunately I'm not that strong on JavaScript so I'm unsure how to: 1. Use the code in the example above 2. Create an Onload event to use the script above. If anyone could help i'd appreciate it.
-
Genius! I'll make the changes and get it published.

Im trying to find a script to replace some hard coded html: I want to replace height:80mm; with height:50mm; when the page loads? Can anyone offer me some hel?

Could anyone suggest an alternative? My RSS to CSV file below - When the CSV is downloaded I want to save a copy of the file generated in the background to my server? header('Content-type: text/csv'); header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="tweets.csv"'); $tag = urlencode($_GET['tag']); $max_pages = $_GET['maxpages']; if ($max_pages > 50) { die("No way am i doing more than 50 pages. Sorry mate."); } echo 'name,date,uri,content' . "\r\n"; for($page = 1; $page <= $max_pages; $page++) { $url = "http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?&q={$tag}&rpp=100&page={$page}"; $xmlstr = file_get_contents($url); $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($xmlstr); foreach ($xml->entry as $entry) { $twitterdate = $entry->updated; $middle = " "; $half = (int) ( (strlen($twitterdate)) ); // cast to int incase str length is odd $left = substr($twitterdate, 0, $half); $right = substr($twitterdate, $half); $unixdate = strtotime($left); $correctdate = date("d-m-Y H:i", $unixdate); echo $entry->author->name . "," . $correctdate . "," . $entry->author->uri . ",\"" . strip_tags($entry->content) . "\" \r\n"; } } ?>

Moodle Theme - for English department
danIT replied to crc-ict's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Here is a suggestion for you, Use the EduGeek Moodle Theme: Available here: EduMoodle You can then use some site specific css to change the Header image based on the course being used: Something like: .course-2 #header-home { background: url('EnglishTypeImage.png'); } A course with the id=2 in the url = .course-2 in css If you have multiple English courses you just need to add them to the CSS: .course-2 #header-home, .course-3 #header-home, .course-4 #header-home etc.. { background: url('EnglishTypeImage.png'); } Hows that? -
header('Content-type: text/csv'); header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="tweets.csv"'); $tag = urlencode($_GET['tag']); $max_pages = $_GET['maxpages']; if ($max_pages > 50) { die("No way am i doing more than 50 pages. Sorry mate."); } echo 'name,date,uri,content' . "\r\n"; for($page = 1; $page <= $max_pages; $page++) { $url = "http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?&q={$tag}&rpp=100&page={$page}"; $xmlstr = file_get_contents($url); $xml = new SimpleXMLElement($xmlstr); foreach ($xml->entry as $entry) { $twitterdate = $entry->updated; $middle = " "; $half = (int) ( (strlen($twitterdate)) ); // cast to int incase str length is odd $left = substr($twitterdate, 0, $half); $right = substr($twitterdate, $half); $unixdate = strtotime($left); $correctdate = date("d-m-Y H:i", $unixdate); echo $entry->author->name . "," . $correctdate . "," . $entry->author->uri . ",\"" . strip_tags($entry->content) . "\" \r\n"; } } This currently saves the RSS feed from the Twitter search to a .CSV file. I'd like to not only allow the file to be downloaded but also get it saved to the server. How can I generate the file and once generated post it to the server? *****Please excuse my horrible date functions!!!!!!
-
-- Sidenote: I also generate a .csv of the search to download, anyone know how I might store this on the server once generated? A colleage did tell me the name of a function but cant for the life of me remember? Think it began with S?

Superb, thats exactly what I needed.... Well almost, I got the problem wrong... I needed to Encode the # not decode Ta!
-
Need a little help, i'm by now means literate in PHP but here goes: $tag=$_GET['tag']; if($_GET['tag']==''){ $tag = 'Search...';} if (!isset($_GET['maxpages'])) { $max_pages = 20; }else { $max_pages = $_GET['maxpages']; } if ($max_pages > 50) { die("No way am i doing more than 50 pages. Sorry mate."); } ?> I use a form to take $tag and stick it on the end of a url: http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?&q={$tag} Its basically a Twitter search script, the trouble i having is if $tag contains a #, kinda vital to a twitter search. I think whats happening is this: $tag = #edugeek - Twitter Search%23edugeek I think twitter needs to get #edugeek not %23edugeek How can I change my script so that if $tag starts with # or contains # it is correctly sent to twitter? To test I replaced %23 to # in the browser and it works, just need the script to do it now!

Statistics on Moodle site - Not working
danIT replied to kieran8055's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Check Moodle.org for some more tips but I wish you the best of luck. I've never been able to get the stats to run correctly, its constantly in catch-up mode and never does catchup. I recently installed 1.9.5 on a server with 1 course and 4 users - It currently tells me that its got 10 days of stats to process and its processed 4 days. At the recent Moodle Moot at Loughborough Uni the Uni had decided to take the stats processing out of the CRON job and move it to a dedicated server just to do the stats.- 1 reply

Yeah, you either need: Workshop: Allows peer to peer assesment of docs uploaded by students in a course or Assignement - Advanced uploading - Where students can upload files and the teacher can then download the submitted files make notes and submit back a version of the document to the pupil. But this does not allow students to view each others files.

Internet Explorer (7) rejecting correct Moodle logins

Do you have a server caching anything on site? -
My GF has just bought a brand new renault clio, she had an S reg Vauxhall Corse 1.7 diesel which was on its last legs and had been offered £700 for it. Renault are doing a deal on the Clio's so shes getting a brand new clio for £6495, with her 10 year old banger plus renault are knocking money off the clio's on top of that. I think usually a brand new clio will cost you £9995 ish.... Not a bad deal really....plus he's throwing in some extras.

I think Uniservity is also quite cheap in comparison, I had heard of them offering it to schools very cheaply under cutting everyone.
