If your just going to add a new server that will be running 2k8, then no the 2k3 does not need to be R2. D

It may be worth visiting both sites when the laser sender / receiver are plugged in to see what else is plugged into the same socket, these types of issues are always problematic as there is no definitive cause I can see. D

Correct, sounds to me like you have no permissions set of the home folders, consider using CACLS to set the perms on the folder from CMD. I find it quicker and easier to export a list of usernames from Sims.net then create a script in Excel using concatenate then just copy and paste into notepad, save a batch file and let it rip. The best way I can think of if it's not too many people is to add the Exchange Account to Outlook, let it Synchronise and then export a PST file containing all the E-Mails, this can be then imported into a new exchange account or any other mail system you may be planning to use, you can also then export the contacts from here into various formats including WAB and CSV. Is this just within Word 2010, have you tried printing from notepad or similar. Could this be a Driver problem, have you updated to the latest drivers for your printer? D

Eeeek that's a really big hit for a F-S, so pass through or fixed is the best way, I think I'd be tempted to use PassThrough but if you don't have a SAN then maybe its got to be a Fixed Disk and over allocate what you may use. But then of course its wasted space if its not used. D

BGI (Background Initialization) is a process to correct parity on the virtual (RAID) disks. BGI is an automated check for media errors in which parity is created and written in the process.
