Hi, Does anyone know a way I can sync a Sharepoint document library to another users Onedrive without getting them to manually logon to the Sharepoint site and press sync? Ideally I would like to do this with Powershell as this would be the easiest way to sync the site to multiple users. I cannot find any documentation on how to do this though. Thanks Ben

Hi, I've been trying to use the SIMS Bulk Import Tool Powershell modules however there is little to no documentation for this. Has anyone got a guide anywhere? I have imported the cmdlets from the dll file and I can see some commands such as "connect-sbi" but when I enter the credentials it fails with a "stack overflow exception" Any help would be appreciated. I found the cause, if you enter the BIOS and go the the main tab and press CRTL-S it will show a few hidden options, I needed to disable some intel storage management feature and this then made the hard drives visible.

Hi, I'm having issues with Windows PE drivers on my Acer Travel Mate, I can get every other driver to install other than the Intel RST drivers. The task sequence fails with an error because it cannot see any storage devices. When I use disk part there are no disks detected. However the laptop loads the preinstalled Windows fine. I have tried injecting every driver available from Acer, I tried the driver from Intel, I've tried extracting the drivers from the preinstalled OS on the laptop. Any suggestions? Kind regards Ben

Hi, I'm trying to move away from our on-prem student file shares to using OneDrive with the OneDrive Windows client and Office Apps. I have previously configured Azure AD connect with password hash sync and SSO seems to be working as expected when logging on to Office.com. What I cannot seem to get working is the SSO for the Office apps. I have followed several tutorials none of which seem to work. Anyone else managed to get this working? Cheers Ben

We have had quite a few staff members sending emails to the wrong recipient outside of the organization. Is it possible to setup a prompt every time a user is sending an email to an external source? I have already setup the mailtips notification but this is only a very small notification and is easily missed. I was hoping for a large popup box with asking the user to confirm the recipients of the email are who they intended. Thanks Ben

Hi, I am in need of some help with using an expression for Azure AD Sync rules editor. I currently have a custom attribute which contains a OU name so currently it displays as "Y7" in the attribute using the expression "DNComponentRev(CRef([dn]),5)". I really need it to say "/Y7". How can I achieve this? I tried a few things using the documentation but couldn't get anything to work. Thanks Ben

Hi, I am planning to deploy Azure AD Connect. I wanted to stage the deployment so that staff are synced first give the staff a few weeks to adjust then apply the sync to students. This is because we will have to change the usernames of the staff and students for the soft matching process. I believe I read somewhere that the soft matching process can only be done once? So, is it possible to stage the deployment? I can't find any MS documentation about staging a deployment of DirSync in this way? Thanks, Ben

This is just a TS that is being started by a script within Windows.

I can manually connect/map to the deployment share fine over wireless. I think there is some kind of check within litetouch.wsf (or one of the other script that this relies on) which makes sure that you're using a wired adapter.

Hi, Has anyone found a way to start an MDT task sequence over Wifi? This is a post OS deployment task sequence and it only needs to install a few applications. The TS itself works fine over a wired connection but over wireless it gives a 'Could not connect to deployment share' error message. Is there a way around this?

Hi, My employer is very keen for me to do a certification in Office 365 administration. I've done a little research today and the current 365 exams (70-346 and 70-347) retire in March. To become certified do I just need to take the MS-100 and MS-101 exam? or are there other exams i need to take? Cheers, Ben

Hi, Thank you, I'll give those a read. Sorry I should have specified, I was looking for it to do this unattended. We have 300/400 machines and sometimes we do this in bulk so having to manually put the computer name isn't preferable. Using the database, would I be able to make MDT query for a unique part of a machine such as the MAC address and then use this to fill in the computer name, OU, etc? Thanks.

Hi, I'm new to MDT, just installed a WDS/MDT 2016 server. How do I make a computer keep it's old computername/OU/Security groups, etc? The computer names are in the form of "LT######"/"DT######" so I cannot generate them from MAC addresses or serial numbers like most of the online resources suggest. Many thanks.

We purchased several iPads and apple TVs to be used around our academy. They all worked fine and there were no issues until one developed a fault and I restored it which updated the software. Since then it has been unable to set the date and time, which means that it will not air play and does not have any apps; so it's completely useless. After researching into the issue the only suggestions were to open port 123 as the apple TV needs to contact apple.time.com. This doesn't appear to have any effect. I contacted apple and they were of no help as they suggested the same thing and didn't have another solution. Has anyone else seen this issue before? Or have any ideas on how to solve it?
