Hi, We have created a UDF field for pupils (single line) and need to import for all pupils. On my CSV I have two fields (to make things easy), Admission Number and UDF data. When I run through the import procedure, the Admission number is used to match and finds the pupil information. But when it comes to importing the new data into the UDF, the report shows "NOT IMPORTED". When I checked the logs, this looks like the entry where it fails. 05/08/2015 10:18:46 Trace Set UDF: False - 15670 - ca281102 Any ideas on how I can get this working? Much appreciated, Pete

Good morning all. I am new to the Sims game but I have been tasked with checking the accuracy of data in the school. I am finding that there are a lot of missing/incorrect parental email addresses and phone numbers. I have a spreadsheet with updates. Is there anyway I can bulk upload the information into Sims (about 1500 entries) and if so how? Or do I have to do it manually? We are currently using Sims version 7.186. I know this is a bit old but with budget cuts we cannot afford to update. Thanks again.

Hi First post! Thanks for reading. We use SIMS, but as I am discovering since starting this role a few months ago, nothing is as tidy and well used as it could/should be. Since a change of staff FSM lead has changed and SIMS has not been maintained. I have been given a list from the new FSM lead, which is at least 80 students more than the report on SIMS shows. What I would like to do, is clear all existing FSM ticks on student profiles in SIMS (is that possible in a job lot - if so how do I do that?) **would this have any impact on Ever 6?? - thinking out loud but feel free to answer if you can see something I am missing** and then import the new more accurate list which will then enable it to be maintained from this point in. So if the above is possible, and I have a blank canvas to start with, when importing and mapping, what am I going to need to map to? Can anybody help? Thank you in advance

Afternoon all, Just looking for some advice on the most efficient way to import behaviour data into SIMS. Currently, for various reasons, form tutors input a total amount of behaviour points for the previous week into a spreadsheet (has columns for the types of behaviour incidents). Our Data Team have to then take these spreadsheets and one by one go into each student and add a new behaviour incident and adjust the 'points' value to reflect the total number in the spreadsheet. Is there a way to construct a spreadsheet similar to the following:

Student Name Student Form Student UPN Behaviour Type 1 (Matches SIMS Name) Behaviour Type 2(Matches SIMS Name) Behaviour Type 3(Matches SIMS Name)

John Doe 7AAA 0123456789 8 5 0

Jane Doe 7ABC 987654321 0 0

If we were to then save this as a whole-school spreadsheet, is there any way in SIMS to import this spreadsheet and SIMS automatically adds new behaviour events with the specified points values for each student? This would save our data team literally days of time as they could just download the spreadsheet from our shared area, stick it in SIMS and press go, rather than doing it by hand? We're running an on-site SIMS server and access SIMS using the SIMS.NET Desktop Application for Windows. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Cheers.

Hi, I've been trying to use the SIMS Bulk Import Tool Powershell modules however there is little to no documentation for this. Has anyone got a guide anywhere? I have imported the cmdlets from the dll file and I can see some commands such as "connect-sbi" but when I enter the credentials it fails with a "stack overflow exception" Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards Ben
