  1. We’re then able to use Logic without signing in, the message just stays there. We’re managed by dataJAR, so perhaps their setup / install of the app is slightly different to others?
  2. We’ve found that if you get the below message, you can move it to the very edge of the screen and use Logic normally. From testing we can open, make a project, save it, open it back up, etc.
  3. We’re managed by dataJAR. They’re saying there’s nothing to be done, that we have to wait for Apple to issue a fix.
  4. Urgh, we’ve just had a report of this. Thank you for flagging
  5. @Ditto The school is staying open, it’s the Nursery - Year 4 year groups that are sadly closing. Years 5 and 6 will be based at the other school site.
  6. I’ve got it whitelisted and a shortcut to its Edge extension store page deployed to our centrally managed Edge bookmarks folder. It can affect website performance (YouTube videos can take longer to load), so didn’t want to force it on everyone.
  7. We use https://time.is/clock (make sure you have an add blocker installed!) projected at the front.
  8. @DrBeaker Desktop PCs at the Prep School, 1:1 laptops at the Senior School, mixture of projectors and screens in classrooms, all connecting via USB C.
  9. I’ve got Duplicate Screen, Extend Screen and Wirelessly Project as pinned shortcuts on the Start menu for all users. Get very few call outs for this issue
  10. Service desk helps with showing SLT your workload. Being able to categorise requests can show areas of improvement / training, etc. Easier to assign tasks to IT staff (dependant on your team size) and also track the progress of a request.
  11. I’ve looked at setting this up for Windows devices. However they need to be fully InTune joined, can’t even be hybrid joined, we’re sadly not there yet. Also currently disables local admin logins https://mylogin.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/24954119552797-Pre-requisites-for-setting-up-MyLogin-as-the-Identity-Provider-for-Microsoft-365-Windows
  12. Not for Office. Registry changes that used to work no longer do. Most schools purchase dedicated exam software now.
  13. @itskdog Our Promethean account manager said he can update the LE licenses to Pro at no extra cost. 😎
  14. Oh for fudge sake 😀 will go back to Promethean tomorrow… thank you for the heads up!
  15. Read the updated version of the article. They may have been headline grabbing. Looks like it’s nothing new or to do with training their AI model, Google just rewrote their disclaimer.
  16. Just re read your other comment Chris, we’re connecting the hubs at the laptop end, not into the screens. Don’t know it that helps clarify. Cheers
  17. We’ve got Promethean screens, which have their own wireless offering. However the laptops are sat on the teacher’s desk right next to the screen, wireless vs cable is a non starter when HDMI is much better quality and faster response for the touch element. We’ve been using the below USB hub with no problems across multiple departments. https://amzn.eu/d/iQ3iYie
  18. To help simply connecting to classroom screens, I’ve started to install USB hubs in each classroom. The HDMI and USB cables from the screen, plus a laptop charging cable (to allow pass through charging) go into the hub, with about a 1m USB C cable to connect to staff laptops. Reduces connecting 3 cables to laptops to 1, which staff are loving. £25 per hub, best investment for a while! 🙂
  19. If scripting doesn’t work, you could create a shortcut to your printer network share, where users can right click and install the printer(s). Setting default print settings on the print server in printer management will ensure your desired default settings will apply.
  20. The LE models are confirmed as actually being 4K, so don’t really know why we wouldn’t go with that model going forward. More talks with Promethean required! 🙂
  21. Yeah your OPS input will be the OPA 1 module. I’m hoping we can purchase OPA 2 modules (about £160) and slot those in instead. Will check in with our Promethean account manager next week.
  22. ActiveSuite software was heavily pushed from the conversation. The LE series have everything built in still, but are only 1080p. Clarification on some questions asked being sought. Will try and update further.
  23. Update: You might be able to purchase the OPS-A2 modules separately and install them into the AP10 screens, which looking online have all the tools built in. We’ve got a call with our Promethean account manager tomorrow to talk through things, will try and clarify if we can do this with our AP10 screens. https://avpartsmaster.co.uk/business-solutions/promethean-ops-a2-8r64s-activpanel-ops-a2-8r64s
  24. You need to install the ActiveInspire software onto the device you’re connecting to the screen, they’ve removed all such features from the screens, which I was not aware of when I ordered the AP10 model. You can no longer natively annotate over the screen without that software on your device, as such I’ve deployed it to all school devices. I have been advised to look at their LE models, which still retain the built in annotation https://www.prometheanworld.com/products/interactive-displays/activpanel-le/
  25. Last device I bought direct from Planet eStream… instantly installing ChromeOS Flex on it! 😀
