I'd be inclined to think your circuit breaker is over sensitive. Your trolley probably has a 13A plug as standard, so if its fuse doesn't blow (it won't), then you are drawing less than 13A. Rule of thumb, assume surge is 2x running power, but at 65W each, that's still minimal. Is there anything else on the same 32A circuit? Can you plug this in elsewhere in the building - i.e. Different mains circuit. That will tell you where the problem lies.

Buy SFP/GBIC via eBay. So much cheaper from equipment refurbishers like Rock Hall .co.uk. Full vat receipt etc. Nothing to lose.....

Do you like storing your passwords with a third party? I don't feel comfortable with this. Would a cynic ask if it was free (some of them) for a reason?

Used to buy "freezer grade" labels in previous job. Yes, they peel, but designed for outside durability. Think, garden centre labels.

But ensure you do what Capita installers guide you to do.. Do NOT show the student address in SLG because both disaffected parents can see it... they cannot see each other's personal details. Yes, that's hard as you're reporting on 'nothing'. We had to Timetable them as 'free' to give something to search on. This is also required if you have a bio attendance system that comes with them at times other than AM/PM reg.

£2 per student per year on top of the £1k basic software. But you don't have to buy for the whole school - we are thinking KS4 only for o365 integration. We have other subscribed alternatives for KS3. They do look good (YouTube demos), and I have spoken with them a number of times. I just need my IT faculty to decide what they want to do.

We were about £10k including a photo-shoot for a day. Hosting is cheap, and we do general updates ourselves, but everything else is chargeable (I didn't choose the contract!). They don't even apply the WordPress changes, but we can't ftp a backup - so they charge to do this.

We are just labelling the machines "does not accept new notes", and our caterer has supported us migrating to ParentPay. Our reval units will be allowed to fade away! We are not paying upgrades!

HP micro server is good and quiet, but if you want to do 'normal PC things' on it as well, you need to factor in video card and sound.... then it's not so cheap - but I don't regret buying one. I also increased the memory, but do find the CPU struggles with anything intensive (which for me is both data and video). In addition to its storage, I have a Synology NAS in a different part of the house.

I have just had this problem back again. I set a screen recorder to capture the 'quick flash' message. It says... Could not find file S:\sims\star\ascout\census_output.xml Absolutely no idea why this comes and goes......... Logged another call with our LSU to push Capita.....

We use Gravity Forms on our current site. Have used others previously. This one uses a 'honeypot' rather than a Captcha. They all work pretty well the same way. They email each entry, so you can see it build up if you want to (we created an email of [email protected]) but the main use is downloading the csv from the website to get the full evidence/response file.

I know a low income person who had a PAPER LETTER from HMRC which said you can go online to claim your refund... but it was a REAL letter, and took you to a high end validation process. They encourage this by saying, request online pays your refund much sooner. And it worked safely.

Our website is WordPress and we simply create forms. You can download the resultant csv file to analyse. We are doing a lot of this, also for demonstrating parental engagement in case the "men in hard hats" come to visit! Start of year, staff survey on all safeguarding etc policies.. New parents, uniform supplier survey. Full parents, Spiritual Survey (we are RC school - Diocese inspection looks for this). Etc, etc... easy

We have Nuance PaperPort bundled with our a Brother MFDs. Copy your PDF into its folder and then OCR it. Works most times, unless complex formatting.

Funny, we had the same. Nobody had changed anything, yet we lost the ability to write to the ASCOUT folder on the S drive after the first run! I thought it was just me.... had to reissue permissions for Exams Officer to do this. (EO does the autumn census as its majors on Post16 and QAN Codes etc).
