Can you ping the correct MDT server from a B PC? Or any PC on the scope for that matter. I'm guessing it's on a reachable subnet and has DNS entries for it (and the other servers on that site). I'd definitely look at vlans for the two sites, it makes everything more secure and means you can have each scope set up with their specific MDT server as needed.

Are the effected clients getting the correct IP addresses from the range they should be, it sounds like they are either ignoring the scope options and defaulting to the higher up ones or getting the wrong IP range and therefore getting the scope options from that range.

Your probably better off looking at either Google apps for education or office 365 for email, no need to have locally hosted email for that few pupils (and likely a small number of staff too). If you want to continue with local exchange then you'll need to set up the Mx records on the domain name itself to point at your static IP, various firewall configs to allow in mail traffic and probably some other stuff too.

Same here, we built a new domain and created a trust between them before migrating users (due to O365 integration). We were 2003 before migrating so had to stand up a 2008 DC to migrate to first and then to 2012 from there as 2003 to 2012 isn't supported apparently.

Sort of, the basic method was: 1) Probe down a mission runner in a shiny ship 2) warp in a frigate and loot some of their wrecks 3) you're flagged to them as attackable without concord intervention 4a) if they shoot you then you warp out, grab a combat ship (usually a BC or something) and go back to kill them and get shiny mission runner loot 4b) if they don't shoot then you keep looting and salvaging their wrecks if you need the isk or just warp off and find someone else Just warping in and salvaging was a pretty profitable profession for new players, didn't take too many skills and was basically risk free (other than any new waves in missions possible spawning and aggro'ing you but your frig was usually fast enough and small enough to avoid the damage till you warp out). Shooting mission runners was even more profitable if you could get a Tengu or some other shiny to shoot you as you generally brought in a DPS ship that hit their off resists and could do a decent chunk of damage on top of the rat damage to kill them. The changes to the criminal system to have suspects and safetys and stuff pretty much killed the shooting shiny mission runners part though.

The little green light bit next to the cap dial is part of the "safety" system, you can set three levels and it is basically there to prevent you from attacking something you don't want to. It's default to Green so you can't accidentally attack any other player, which pretty much defeats the purpose of some people ninja looting.

I think the safety system has pretty much killed the classic ninja looter style of ganking high sec mission runners. I understand why CCP did it but it's a little disappointing as it used to be an amusing way to waste a few hours probing people down and finding out if they'd fire on that harmless little frigate or not.

Installed build 10041 on my Surface Pro 2 as the ISO was available. Windows updates keep failing to connect so I can't get Spartan. Everything else looks pretty nice though.

Currently I've got a bunch of AD scripts (Creating one or many users, full Intake process including folder/OU creation, end of year process, removing one or many users), some for O365, SCCM pre-stage computers and checking status of SCEP clients, DPM reporting and a handy GUI for running scripts with parameter input.

True but if there isn't anything there that you need then someone else in the community may have made something close enough that you can adapt it.

We don't have much planned, some general maintenance on servers (updates since last holidays etc) and clean out the last few staff PCs that I didn't get last time plus the IT rooms we can't get into during term time. We bought an electric air pump thing, we knew we had a lot of PCs to get dust out of and canned air was going to be expensive so went with this. It cleans machines very quickly and leaves a nice cloud of dust in the room when your finished.

On site exchange or office 365? Either way I'd suggest looking on the script centre on TechNet as it's probably got something similar which can be adapted.

You should be able to push it out like a normal package but with something like this as the command line: wusa.exe Windows6.1-KB2819745-x86-MultiPkg.msu /quiet /norestart I've got it set to deploy to our test group using that and it should be working, haven't had a chance to double check it yet as I only set that away earlier this week and other stuff has come up.

Look up Try/Catch blocks, they should deal with this for you. Though you might need to specify -ErrorAction (or some similar parameter) for the block to work correctly with some commands.

Just thought it would be useful to have a general thread for people to share Powershell scripts to save people having to redo all the work. I don't have any script needs at the minute but I've got a stack of scripts that might be useful to people and usually more free time than I know what to do with so filling it with Powershell probably isn't a bad thing.

That Band seems to be a bit like a Smartwatch with some fitness stuff added in, just a shame about the price tag really but I'm sure it's probably in line with many other smartwatches (not sure really as I haven't looked at many). If I had the disposable income I'd seriously consider it.

My painting list isn't as bad: 20 Skaven (8 just main bodies with arms painted when needed). Eldar Farseer (testing blending techniques on the cloaks). Dark Eldar Homonculus Inquisitor with Thunder Hammer 10 Salamander Sternguard (might just have scaled cloaks to finish and details on weapons I think) 2 Menoth Warcasters (Kreoss and another who's name escapes me at the moment) Box of Menoth troops (Errants of some form I think) Malifaux gang Most of the Chaos Marines from the box set that had them and some Dark Angels in (no idea the name of it as I bought them ages ago). I'll probably end up buying some other random characters and small units over the next few months as I find new things to paint, already got my sights set on the Lord of Pestilence from Avatars of War and doing a nurgle style paint scheme on it.

What's the problem with powershell security? It's probably better to fix that than to find some random application that does the same thing.

Thankfully I only have 12 skaven to paint for now, and potentially another 9 over the next few months. I might even get around to finishing one of the half dozen or so half painted models I've got sitting on my paint station, though I'll probably pick up a few more before I do.

I rediscovered a few things this weekend: 1) Missions in a Typhoon are a lot more "interesting" than in a Tengu. I've actually got to watch my shields and activate my booster when I get to around 30%, rather than the Tengu route of either move fast enough that I take basically 0 damage or have the booster on all the time and not care about shields or cap. 2) I've got a lot of LP but it's spread across a few different corps and to get anything good out it I'd have to spend a lot of time running more missions (or Incursions I guess but I don't know what state they are in at the minute). 3) Missions are a little boring even in a Typhoon. I'm torn between going back to high sec exploration (probably in a Astreos or whatever the SOE frig is called) and Incursions, since I'm wanting to plex my account I'll probably go with the Incurions as they used to bring in a lot of isk for not much work.

Started on my Skaven warband for Mordheim this weekend, got all the bases done (so many cobblestones) and going to start on the actual models at some point this week. I also got myself a Malifaux box to paint up as a reward for painting a lot of grey and brown.

I'm going to re-read Pyramids, it was the first book of his I ever read and though it wasn't as good as many of his other book it got me started on them and I've never found another author who'd writing got me hooked in the same way.
